Missing the point. The guy is Indian himself, moved to the US, and wants to live in an ethnic enclave because he feels that it is high trust and he can let his kids run around the neighborhood without fear of them being harmed, but he wouldn't hesitate to call someone racist if they said they they didn't want any immigration in order to have a high-trust nation ("America is all about diversity").
It's the brazen hypocrisy that gets me. Ethnic enclaves for me, but not for thee.

Interestingly, I saw a few social media posts praising the high-trust in China, or Korea (of all places) and pointing out that theft is relatively rare. Lots of leftists rambling on and on in the comments about the culture in comparison to the West. Didn't feel worth the effort to point out that China is 99.99% Chinese, and Korea is 99.99% Korean.

It can go both ways. Sometimes old school immigrants will bemoan the next generation because they feel like they earned their spot and the new guys are getting an easy ride. I know my Balkan family shits on the pajeets and changs who are coming here in droves.

If China is more “safe” than the US, at least part of the explanation is that they didn’t fling their doors wide open to immigration from dysfunctional countries.
