YIIK has given me more enjoyment then SR: 2022 will ever give me, and I've never played it.

There's a difference between enjoyable bad and just plain bland bad.
Hahahahahahahaha, holy shit. Is SR 2022 the new Ride to Hell Retribution? Sonic '06? Superman 64?
I wouldn't think so.. Unless all newer games are going to bland, boring, and broken. Here's looking to you Dead Island 2 (also Deep Silver).

Superman 64 was a cheap, unfinished cash grab for an established franchise.

Sonic '06 had potential but was rushed by SEGA due to mismanagement. And had good music.

There's no redeeming qualities with this reboot. It's a terrible game on its own merits and in the franchise it tries to "reboot."

I’ve seen gameplay. It would have utterly frustrated the hell out of you in 5 mins. And that 5 minutes would have still been the first battle. The game is hilarious in how pretentious it is and all, but the gameplay is a massive boring slog.

I think i might create alex yiik in saints row 4 rn
I was hoping someone would. Is that character creator still available? Where you just design the character and not pay for the game?

I think he said it was going to be bundled with a new graphics card he was getting, so at least he didn't give Volition money for this.
What is with this practice of bundling games with graphic cards? I'd argue it'd be shovelware but it barely functions as a game.

Officially, probably a way to get the ball rolling on testing the card out and making the card a "better" deal.

Unofficially, a lack of confidence in the game doing well without being bundled with a better product.

Back in the day you used to just get keys but AMD actually made me sign up with their shit then link my account(s) to theirs so there was some effort involved. In retrospect doesn't seem worth it really. It can be pretty good games though I got MGSV that way and I enjoyed the fuck out of that. Naturally these days there are no good games anymore arguably so you get what you get.

This took more creative risks than a reboot that was almost ten years too late

I'm watching this guy livestream the tapeworm mission and his wingsuit kept opening up while he was making this jump.

Any bets when will the "Games as an Service™" patch will kick in?

I'm guessing an week after the reviews ridicule it.
