Stable Diffusion, NovelAI, Machine Learning Art - AI art generation discussion and image dump

  • 🐕 I am attempting to get the site runnning as fast as possible. If you are experiencing slow page load times, please report it.
I'm not downloading anything. Generate a picture of @Null with his ideal wife (who I assume would be from Korea.)
LMAO I swear I didn't tell it to make two images like this, it legitimately shit this out with "Joshua Connor Moon and his tradwife"

This one's a little better.

I think I need a starting image for Null. Someone gimme one to use.

Assuming this can ever be perfected, human art will not be seen as a thing of the past but looked as "Wait YOU drew this? Holy shit that's incredible!"

Obviously assuming it's actually decent art but you get the idea.
Of course this also means it will be rife for abuse, but it should ideally be trivial for any terminally online artist to prove what they did or didn't draw assuming they have their galleries saved.

I'm a retard but I followed steps 1-6 in the voldy guide and getting this error when running webui-user.bat for the first time, as per step 7.
Do I just have to manually create an empty directory called 'venv' in the stable-diffusuin-webuit root directory? I have no idea what I'm doing, so thought it's better to ask first.

Except now anyone with a modicum of genuine skill or talent will just be accused of or written off as using AI art, this will become the default assumption of people who put effort into their work.

I don’t disagree that this will become a common accusation, but I see talented artists get accused of tracing every single day. Being told you cheated because you’re good is nothing new

Do you have Python 3.10 installed? I'm no expert, but it looks like it's trying to use Python 2.7.

If that directory exists already, delete it. It sets up venv/ to sandbox its work.
It does not exist, at least not in the root directory.

I installed the 3.10.6 version linked in the guide, maybe it didn't update correctly? I'll uninstall all traces of Python and reinstall it.

EDIT: Thank you, this was the issue, I actually had 3 different older Python versions.

Your python version is 2.7
Install python 3.10 for it to work

Edit: If you have both installed, move the directory that python 3.10 is installed in to a higher priority in the PATH environment variable

Can a markov chain comprehend natural language, my brother in computation?
This is the wrong line of questioning that resulted in very little progress in AI for decades.
People would do things like markov chains and Respected Figures would say "but it still doesn't comprehend natural language like a human" and research and funding was directed elsewhere.
But off in their neglected corner, markov bots and similar approaches continued to get better as commodity hardware improved.
And it turns out that, well, maybe a markov bot does comprehend natural language "like a human" and we just don't want to admit that's how humans work... just a dynamic weighted filter between inputs and outputs.

Mind sharing one with the thread to talk to?

I think in terms of actual artistic use, from how i've seen artists draw, they usually open up some sort of layered program like Krita and then do different things in different layers.

A potential marketable quality of this would be to have the program replicate the same thing. Like, integrate it directly into Krita, then have it generate the prompt layer-by-layer. This would allow a human artist to go in and clean up the weird shit.

I'm running blank prompts (masterpiece, highest quality, absurdres, (sharp focus:1.2), by __artist-surreal__), which rendered this. Notice that the stick or whatever on the right blends into the hair. That's something a human could correct with layers.

I heard there's a risk when using this that'll affect kernel level ahit and fuck my whole rig.

How do I avoid that and not nuke my pc when using this to make Dnd art?

A benevolent AI calling our shit out through being able to think deeply, in parallel, at speeds where it can ponder for a human lifetime in an eye's blink a million times over, and also having the ability to articulate so we can all understand it, would do something worse. Our sins would be laid bare in a way too blindingly clear for anyone to argue against it, and we'd be beholden to this moral breakthrough.

Naturally such an AI would likely be turned off before the powerful were called out.
Wasn't this what happened to the Microsoft chat AI? I was plugged into Twitter, and within 24 hours became unacceptably based and was promptly disconnected and its website deleted.
