Kinda hard to get excited for a medieval fantasy adventure from the makers of Boyband Simulator 2015, and also how it won't even be on a real platform until 2024A new Final Fantasy game is coming out.
I feel nothing.

That was Business Unit II. FF16 is being made by Business Unit III.from the makers of Boyband Simulator 2015
well doesn't that just make ALL the difference in the world, they're basically being developed on completely different planetsThat was Business Unit II. FF16 is being made by Business Unit III.
They're separate dev teams, so this is apt, minus the piss baby sarcasm.well doesn't that just make ALL the difference in the world, they're basically being developed on completely different planets
All I know is that Tetsuya Nomura is not involved, which says a lot about its higher quality by itself. That was Business Unit II. FF16 is being made by Business Unit III.
Which, on the topic of it, looks pretty cool overall. The six months delay is a little annoying but it's not the worst timed release.
Unless Business Unit 3 is the Dragon Quest team, it's very, very hard to trust anything out of Square Enix. I want the game to be as great as you're hoping it'll be, but man, they don't have a good track record at all. They're separate dev teams, so this is apt, minus the piss baby sarcasm.
They're the team behind FFXI and FFXIV. While the latter had a rocky start, they're both pretty beloved games in their own right. You mention Dragon Quest - it's worth noting Naoki Yoshida got his start at SE working on DQ spinoffs as well as X before being put in charge of FFXIV after it bombed, which he undeniably saved and made into the WoW killer that it is today. I understand caution, but FFXVI isn't like FFXV where it was actually intended to be a spinoff jerked around by wavering circumstances over the course of a decade. Unless the game drops next year and is an absolute garbage heap top-to-bottom, I see myself getting it day one when it's on PC.Unless Business Unit 3 is the Dragon Quest team, it's very, very hard to trust anything out of Square Enix.
I didn't either, but then Wokeists rallied against it, and now I'll just accept Final Fantasy is dead but we have a cool new medieval DMC clone. They really put things in perspective for me, thanks globohomo.A new Final Fantasy game is coming out.

Business Unit 3 is in charge of FFXI and FFXIV. Considering the quality of the latter, I’d say it’ll be fine.Unless Business Unit 3 is the Dragon Quest team, it's very, very hard to trust anything out of Square Enix. Years of playing and enjoying FF14 has solidified that I have an amount of trust in Yoshi P putting in an actual solid effort and probably won't be unfinished jank bullshit. All I know is that Tetsuya Nomura is not involved, which says a lot about its higher quality by itself.
Then again, everybody believed that FFXV would be good based on the pedigree of its second director, and look what happened with that.Years of playing and enjoying FF14 has solidified that I have an amount of trust in Yoshi P putting in an actual solid effort and probably won't be unfinished jank bullshit.
Don't ruin my faith Yoshi P, make the game good.
The writing was on the wall with XV with how it was supposed to be part of a trio of games surrounding XIII, and how it went through at least 1 complete restart. Then again, everybody believed that FFXV would be good based on the pedigree of its second director, and look what happened with that.
Don't forget the big multimedia campaign push. That usually doesn't go well for most products. The writing was on the wall with XV with how it was supposed to be part of a trio of games surrounding XIII, and how it went through at least 1 complete restart.
In the same boat as you, but more so that there's no PC version. RetardsI'm very much wait and see approach to this game. Not a day one purchase, but I hope it impresses me enough in YT playthroughs to buy it at a sale later.
It'll inevitably come to PC, I just hope it's not trapped on EGS then instead of Steam. In the same boat as you, but more so that there's no PC version. Retards
If anything, it'll probably come to EGS in a year, and then Steam in a half-year to a year after that. It'll inevitably come to PC, I just hope it's not trapped on EGS then instead of Steam.
