Nick seems to think he's the only adult in the room when he addresses criticism as of late, like telling KF back in mid November that he wasn't mad at them (when he was) with the overall soft spoken posture of "I'm not mad son, just disappointed". He also seems to think that his degeneracy is different when he does it because he's an adult having adult fun, something (man)children just wouldn't understand. In this way, Nick deflects accountability for his hypocrisy by focusing on the degeneracy (which he has now embraced) and his adult status.

Nick's indignant rebuttal of "so what?" on things he can't defend himself on can be roughly translated as "what are you going to do about it?". The answer of course is "nothing" and Nick knows it.
