The mod only had its first release, I think only major powers are playable. I'd imagine DH will add it in future updates. If they don't, I'll be pretty disappointed. Lots of opportunities for minors to engage in conflicts and make playing smaller countries fun in the buildup to the "Main Event".

Combat hasn't changed that much. The default focus tree is crap and gives you 2 (!) mil factroies in total, for which you have to do stupid amounts of focuses for, which makes small nations ass. You can get guns by research, but that doesn't matter when you have 0 mils. Also you need 30% war tension in the game to send volunteers, which makes historical support impossible. The Kumul rebellion isn't well represented right now, but I would wait for the China update.

The mod is also weird in it's presentation of the Manchurian occupation, the Kwantung Army is under Manchurian control and the Manchurian AI initiates the border conflicts (one of which they lost which borked my campaign lol) but you choose the focuses to attack. It would be more historical if the Kwantung Army were it's own entity under the Manchurian AI which disobeyed the Tokyo government. You could have an interesting Manchuria/Japan game where one influences the other. But I wouldn't get my hopes up for the tranny devs.

aside from that the pictures for guns/tanks etc. looks beutiful (I forgot to take picture)

Final taughts: There is no war, reading focuses is not fun, but the mod is somewhat beutiful aside from the shit research AI and has lots of effort put on it. The early game is still boring as fuck

I think it is because Turkey's existence as a state is the anti-thesis to most alternate history nerds. Alternate history nerds often fantasize about their nation defying the odds and defeating their enemies in a righteous conflict of survival and rising from the ashes like a pheonix (god I feel like a faggot for writing that) into the (((right))) path. It's fair to say that Turkey did something like that. The problem is most alternate-history faggots don't like Turkey that much because they are crusader/german/european/byzantine/soviet/othodox etc. LARPers and because they believe Turks changed history for the worse, the existence of Turkey makes their asses burn, seeing a "enemy" nation in a way fulfill their faggoty ass fantasies even more so. So ala Orwell, they result to making Turkey smaller on their map so they can cope with the fact that history happened the way it did.

Basically every alt history scenario is some right or left wing white kid’s power fantasy. It’s why the West has an obscene amount of detail while Asia, Africa and the Middle East are made into incoherent blobs or carved up into warlords with no rhyme or reason. Oh and Latin America remains unchanged in every universe.

I'm trying to figure out what is the point of The Red Order mod? It's supposed to be a double blind what if of TNO but it's way to similar to our world's Cold War to stand out.
Usually double blind what ifs have significant differences from our world for the sake of being interesting but the differences are way to minor to be interesting.
Outside of some minor border differences, Charles De Gaul and Gamel Nasser getting killed, Italy still having a monarch, West Germany having a different flag and hates France, Japan being an Afghanistan metaphor, and different leaders in charge of all the countries. It's all the same.
Most of the stuff here could have easily been an alternate path for Cold War Iron Curtain.

I think I said it earlier in this thread, but essentially mod makers can come up with all these scenarios, but the bread and butter can only be real-world allegories and metaphors because they have no talent or their own ideas are fucking terrible.
