Containment Random Thoughts & Questions

Let's not forget the toll decades of alcoholism takes on someone. She used to be quite a party girl back in the day. The damage is often reversible to some extent if you're willing to live a really healthy lifestyle and take care of yourself, but we all know Barb has subsisted almost entirely on soda and junk food since.

Barbs' been dead for a year, Chris has been wearing her clothes and assuming her identity

Might be a @Marvin question and it's half serious at best but I wonder if a heartsweet could get Chris to see how awful his mother is. He's ride or die for her to a creepy degree. With that said they do have issues, particularly in recent years. I just wonder if a potential girlfriend or close friend would be able to convince him that she doesn't have his best interests at heart (or at least has a fucked up way of showing it sometimes).

To some extent, Chris already acknowledges Barb's judgement isn't 100% with some things. Mostly the hoarding. He kind of talks about it like she has an addition.

Chris also had help in coming to this conclusion because he and Bob ganged up on Barb on the issue.

But other than the hoarding, there are few issues that are so clearly (from Chris' perspective) Barb's fault. Like for example, her debt isn't her fault. That's the mean debt collectors' faults. Or Cole ignoring Barb isn't Barb's fault either. Cole doesn't dislike Barb because she's a bitch, he dislikes her because he hit his head and he's just bonkers. You have to have mental issues to not love Barb, right?

That's how it is with pretty much everything. Barb finds someone else to blame.

Thus, if you're wanting to turn Chris against Barb, there's not much to work with.

Having joined the former CWCki Forums back in 2012, I believed at the time that Chris was quite possibly the epitome of how not to live. It seemed inconceivable to me that anybody could behave in a similar way to Chris, yet when the forums were relaunched in 2013 and a whole new plethora of Lolcows (such as Nick Bate, Brianna Wu, etc.) were discovered, my opinions on Chris relaxed.

I would be interested to know whether other people on this forum have reacted similarly upon the discovery of other Lolcows, compared to when they first discovered Chris.

Chris remains my favorite internet phenomenon. Everything about his life fits perfectly, and there's almost a poetic quality to how fucked up it is. No other lolcow has the total package like Chris. All the other lolcows seem like they have a niche, but every single aspect of Chris' personality and life produces quality material. Plus, the sheer amount of information we have on him makes him a special case that probably won't ever be topped. I've spent hundreds and hundreds of hours watching, reading, and listening, but at least once a month, I come across a person or time period that I didn't know existed. There's less information about widely respected historical figures. So Brianna Wu is a shitty game developer and really insecure about how unconvincing he is as a woman. We've got pictures of Chris' mother from middle school, his equally-autistic half-brother's shitty movie reviews, and a manchild whose way of speaking and thinking has a unique consistency approaching the levels of an eccentric artistic genius who just happens to be mildly retarded. No one will ever be in the same category as Chris.

What, if anything, makes you feel sympathy for Chris?

For me, it's the fact that has never, in his 34 years of life on this planet, ever had a real intimate relationship with someone, and judging by his lifestyle, chances are, he never will. This wouldn't make me necessarily as sympathetic, except for the fact that Chris is obsessed with finding love ( or at least he thinks he wants love when all he really wants is sex). Looking at the Julie and Ivy sagas show how desperate he is for the love and affection of a woman. But as it stands, it seems like his hopes for a love life are never going to come to fruition, and he will eventually leave this Earth, having only known physical intimacy from a prostitute.

When I first started reading about Chris, it made me laugh to think about that, especially because he is so unlikable, but the more I've learned about him, the more depressing it has become to me. I would hope that I am wrong, and Chris will find someone to love, but I wouldn't put money on it.

My opinion on Chris hasn't changed, the people on this forum have changed my opinion on humanity (OH THE HUMANITY).

If he'd lower his standards and accept a girl completely within his league, he probably could, but his entitlement prevents him from getting a girlfriend. If he reset his parameters to include fellow autistics, fat girls, non-white girls, and maybe even fellow trannies, there would be SOMEONE to take him. But as things now stand, he's holding out for a 10/10 woman with no mental problems and a high-paying job that will care for him the rest of his life...which we all know isn't going to happen, especially now that he has that insane stringy green hair.

Does anybody else feel like since has got his PS4 he's became incredibly boring? Right now it feels like all we have to look forward to is an extremely rare status update on Facebook and a panicked donation video when it gets to the end of the month and Chris realises he's overspent and needs money to pay his bills? I can guarantee we'll have near radio silence until this month is in it's late teens and his tugboat has been eroded. It's a shame too because considering the start Chris has to this year it seemed like things were going to be amazing.

Yes and no. It's definitely part of the problem. He clearly spends a lot of time playing his PS4 on a daily basis, but another reason he's become boring is that he's paranoid of trolls now. So, chances are, we won't be getting anymore sagas like those of :julay: and Ivy. Any subsequent sagas will most likely be the result of his own doing

I want to know whose fault it was why Chris is so walled-off from the world. The biggest suspect in my mind is Rocky Shoemaker. She's always been a white knight IRL for Chris, letting him work off his community service by playing his DS in the church pews while she sweeps and does his job.

Remember, Chris used to host mumble chats inviting any random stranger to talk to him. Now, he's harder to reach than the president.
