Perhaps off topic, but I think it's funny that I'm an active follower of the Kevin Gibes thread and I had to find out about this from Happenings. I'd link a couple examples of people excusing Soviet/Chinese/etc. crimes by explaining how they're "surrounded by capitalists trying to crush them" or whatever but I don't have to because you're already remembering all the times you've seen it yourself.
