In the 1920s the NSDAP very openly declared homosexuality to be a Jewish conspiracy to destroy Germany. By the time they came to power, there were numerous raids and operations to rid Germany of homosexual networks. Hirschfeld's institute was largely targeted for its association with homosexual males, and because the Mengele-esque physician was Jewish. Their argument would be that the most recent indyref was sold under the promise of "stronger together" but then immediately followed by Brexit, because David Cameron thought he could referendum all his problems away. And although a referendum is direct democracy and not representative democracy and therefore constituencies didn't matter (which some "protest vote" idiots didn't realise), people love to insist Scotland voted Remain and therefore they were dragged out by England. Which isn't entirely untrue, but that's more a function of population (Scotland = 5 million, which is about the same as just the West Midlands + Manchester). 38% of Scotland voted to leave, anyway.

So they insist the referendum was under false pretences and want another one. The thing is, I don't think they'd win even now. Even if they did, SNP are basically promising UK -> EU, which wouldn't happen. Spain has said they won't veto them if they have a legal referendum (only a unilateral one, because Catalonia) but they'd need to be an independent nation state first. And that independent nation state wouldn't qualify for EU membership for all the reasons you've elucidated.

I live in the bugman central in the UK (London) and I've never encountered a single HR diversity session, no matter how pozzed, that has acknowledged neopronouns. We get lessons on singular they, which is something that's more common in British English anyway for unknowns ("when we hire a receptionist they will need a laptop") but nobody has ever said anything about xe/xim or the idea you can switch pronouns on a whim.

I'm aware of it, but that's because of extra-curricular hobbies like this. It's a stupid old Britbong thing from 50 years ago. Public bars were like working men's clubs. A man wouldn't bring a woman in there if he respected her, because the men in there would be unfiltered men being crass and vulgar and getting pissed on the cheap. The saloon or lounge bar is where a man would take a woman for a drink. Larger pubs also often had a women's only "Ladies Bar".
