No. Some corporations loathe WFH for the rank and file.
Lots of companies have sprawling international operations with management teams who have all fucked off out of the big city, with its crime and long commutes, and do their work from comfortable home offices. Not a single Fortune 100 executive team is begging the government to please force them to move back to San Francisco or Manhattan for in-person meetings or face prison time.

Nah. I would argue it’s less that and more the histrionics by the troon community and their enablers.
They insist (and repeat ad nauseam) that any slights are equal to OMG LITERAL GENOCIDE. They affirm this to themselves, and they drive it into the heads of children/teens/young adults who may be going down the dark path of trooning. Ergo, you’ve now got a contingency that fervently believes the entire world is out to kill them in scenes of bloodthirsty genocide. Their psychosis is further bolstered by hyperbole re: bills to restrict HRT/GRS to minor children, and the increasing prevalence of normies being less willing to play along with the “girls (boys) can have penises (vaginas)!” schtick. To them, such things are LITERALLY GENOCIDE.
Add in the calls to take up arms, and it’s not surprising that one would eventually lash out like this. Obviously, the perpetrator herself is most to blame, but this is definitely a problem that the broader troon community owns and directly causes.

More context: Smith & Wesson introduced the M&P Shield EZ primarily to target the elderly/those with less dexterity. In essence, if you’re too old or gimped to rack a normal slide, the slide on the EZ is a lot less cumbersome to manipulate. It also features a grip safety like you see on 1911s.

Now, people/companies make mistakes- SIG’s P365 had issues for awhile (though it was never officially recalled). Regardless, incidents like this destroy consumer confidence, and the EZ has suffered as a result. Nobody wants an “unreliable gun,” and I’ve been seeing quite a few EZs for sale in gun shops, placed with other ‘used’ stock.
Someone probably bought that EZ, realized they made a dumb purchase, and went back to the gun shop with the hope of getting *some* of their money back via the shop re-selling it. And they did…to a violent troon who went on to use it to murder children. A fitting arc for a crappy gun!

Russia has been stocking up on gold you know, and they are also paying attention to other goods and currencies. They seem to be keeping their options open and taking a very realpolitik approach to not have all their eggs in any one basket.

It's very simple.
Does your company rent its office space? Then they most likely broke the lease and are now saving tons of cash and are super happy about WFH. They now have a huge budget to do semi-regular "destination" meetings for higher ups.
Does your company own its office space? Then they're stuck with a really expensive asset (in the case of Google, Meta, Apple - billions of dollars) that they cannot sell off to anyone else that is rapid deteriorating in value. They want WFH over so they can start using their buildings again AND so the buildings don't go into a huge freefall of losing value.
Not a single Fortune 100 executive team ever was required to come into the office - even pre COVID. They would have lavish offices for the 4 times a year they would come into the office, WFH has been a way of life for C-Suites for probably close to 15 years.
It's unlikely there's going to be a housing crash (because demand still feels really strong) but for commercial real estate? Demand is low and still plummeting.

Two of the companies you just listed ended WFH without the government needing to criminalize it for them. Google and Apple just did it, and everyone knows Meta's days of 100% WFH are numbered. Your entire theory, that CEOs of billionaire enterprises are so scared of ending WFH that they're begging the government to criminalize video conference calls, is disproved by the actual reality that they already ended WFH with an order from the top.
Correct. This is because pre-COVID, it wasn't illegal to use video conferencing over VPN. If the government criminalizes video conferencing over VPN, they won't be able to work from home. You won't be able to have multi-site company conference calls. Jensen Huang is not begging the Senate to put him in jail if he ever streams live to NVIDIA employees around the planet over VPN again. This is not happening.
