I regularly go into the Pro-Ukraine thread to find them debunking Russian state media we've not even been watching. Then they'll post something from the US. The same outlets that told them Iraq has WMD's without question.

The actual argument is that wars of aggression are bad and should not be engaged in, which means Ukraine has the right to defend itself from Russian aggression. Your character is of a person who supports a country that has let prison rape become such an issue that it's common outside of prison. Where do you think you are? Some Russia Today affiliated forum or something?

Nah I am on KiwiFarms where we laugh at anyone thinking this isn’t all gay anyway. Having to browse counter viewpoints is healthy and if you wanna ignore bad actors you can do that without creating hugboxes where you never get challenged. I say that for both pro vatnik and pro holhol posters. Y’all just lack willpower to roll your eyes and move on.

No dude, I for one understand the way this place actually works. I also understand that mods do not like having to deal with trashfires of any sort. Which is why we have two threads on this war.

If we didn't; we'd have two groups of people endlessly tearing into each other, which the ignore function can only do so much about, because at least one person will actually try to earnestly engage with people arguing in bad faith. Then you also have the issue of people endlessly reporting each other to the mods, which is why they threw up their hands and split the threads in the first place.

Your idea would create a disaster of a thread that would wind up being a no-go zone for anyone interested in calm discussion.
