IIRC, Nick's responses were whiny and dumb. Randazza won that fight, and Nick knows it. I thought it was funny when he got into slapfights with people like Doucette and Twoton, but I felt like he was trying to punch
way above his weight class when he started shit with Randazza and Ken White.
I think it was
@Strix454 who confirmed that Randazza took this case because Rekieta's situation aligns with Randazza's desire to get some case law on the books with respect
to a state that doesn't have an anti-SLAPP (Minnesota), along with the fact that Nick is happy bankroll that effort.
That leads me to suspect that... if those conditions
didn't apply... Randanzza might not have taken the case at all. Even leaving aside the fact the two had a spat in 2020, there doesn't seem to be any other benefit to Randazza in taking the case (other than money, of course). It's a pretty run-of-the-mill defamation case between two private parties.
Also, I'm not sure Randazza's specific gambit is gonna work. It seems like a bit of a reach, but I guess we'll see what the judge has to say.
