Don't worry, no kids watched nu-ra so no kids were getting haunted, the few dolls were bought most likely by womanchildren for themselves and then very quickly stopped being made again.
It's a good enough effort for a product that no one was gonna buy for a character that is a butt ugly blob.

When looking at specifically leads, it's a struggle actually thinking of one post 2000s aside from, ironically, steven universe.
In the 2000s it was already a pretty decent divide between male and female leads, I feel.
Actually are there any new cartoons out or coming out with a male lead of ANY colour or is it just all girls???

Finn from adventure time and gumball and some other furry characters but those were early 2010s.
For more recently, craig of the creek (not white but not fat) and i guess Lincoln loud house but those aren't all that recent either, loud house started like 7 years ago and craig of the creek is already ending.
But seriously, I can't really think of any (human) male main characters in shows that have come out in the past 4-5 years outside of adult animation. Every example I think of (including non-humans like ninja turtles) comes from 2018 or earlier, and it's 2023 and most of them have already ended.
Meanwhile, Owl house started airing 2020, Amphibia 2019, before that there were already many girl mc cartoons like Star VS, and since 2018 it's been almost exclusively girls?
I mean, just look at this:
Big Hero 6 cartoon doesn't count because it came out in 2017, and for the rest its like 7 female mcs comapred to 2 with male ones, and later years are even worse.
Do all boys now just have to turn to anime to find male leads?

Why the fuck is she listening to music trough 2 layers of cloth and a hat lmaooo, though apparently the show is Malaysian and I'm pretty sure most girls are muslim there. It makes sense for a literally islamic country for the girl to wear hijab.
Though aren't at least 2 of those examples meant for adults? When looking one of them up it says one of them has an episode focusing on orgasms.
And the mechamato one seems to be from Malaysia, and poor devil from Spain.
So outside of foreign shows, that makes 2, of which only one belongs to the (former) cartoon big 3, while western cartoons with girl protagonists are flooding cn, nick, disney and netflix.
There are probably more male protags in toddler shows but idk.

Does Duncan from Duncanville count? Even if the shows another half assed family guy Clone at least it's about a white kid. Though the show does tend to focus more on not lois the mom the middle school anime haired sister and the adopted Asian brat.
Yes I've changed my mind on that show it's just fox yet again trying to recycle family guy despite still making new seasons of family guy but at least it's titled after and stars a white male lead.
Cringe current year dialouge almost kills this show for me. Western animation adult animation writers? stop using buzzwords like White privlage, man splaing, and woke. It doesn't make you look in touch with the current events it makes you look like a bunch of old farts desperate to appeal to them "fellow kids." The howdy do fellow kids meme is not funny anymore it's just sad to see in reality now.
