Plagued /r/TNOmod and the Reddit HOI4 modding community - When a subreddit for a video game mod turns to utter insanity

What do you think mates? What is your opinion on this matter?
It's meaningless, mods have made open partnerships before but it only results in a couple GFX getting exchanged before getting forgotten in the obligatory #parternership channel. Pure PR move for no real gain, TNO devs already worked before in EaW.

There was some ruckus on TNO Discord in regards to now their open collaboration with Equestria at War, with all the serious and intellectual users with their black and white historical figures on their profile defending the server against the depravity of bronies. But in all honesty while I still am pretty skeptical of current TNO developments, this collaboration will only bring nice things since mods worked together before and it turned out pretty nice(april fools for both, fewpaths in Zebrica), plus EAW won't recive TNO writers since that would be mostly mechanics, scripts and code collab.

Have TNO truely fallen or is it the other way around?💀💀💀
Seeing an increase in shitposts about TNO in the EaW discord has been funny, they seem to be very aware of the cancer that TNO is.

South American TrooNO devs are all fucking cucked SuccDems and Libs who think their ideal government is Spic Bernie Sanders or whatever.

IE/TSS team (and LATAM TNO in general) is subject of the funniest bullshit so far this year from the soclibs on the wider team.

The only Latin American countries that should have content are Brazil and Argentina. At least at first. The troons can write their paraguay fanfics once the high priority countries have content.

The fact Equestria at War is one of the least retarded and more well run mods in the HoI4 modding scene will never, ever stop being absolutely fucking hilarious to me.

Of all the huge total conversion mods, the fucking Pony one somehow has the least drama and most competent and self aware of their own retardation devs. What a world we live in.

TNO!South America actually having content or some sort of work put into it is genuinely nice to see, but of course the South American TrooNO devs are all fucking cucked SuccDems and Libs who think their ideal government is Spic Bernie Sanders or whatever. At least their SuccDem/LibDem wank isn't as obnoxious as the Commie wank that Freddie has, but still. A wank is a wank.

Also why the fuck is there so much meaningless content for URUGUAY of all South American countries.

Brazil, Argentina (and maybe Colombia) should be the real stars of the show since they're actually the two countries who could have some impact on the world, but fucking Uruguay has like 6 million ideas and events planned for it plus a dozen subideologies tailored made for it for just some boring ass country. No one gives a shit about Herrerism, Battilism or whatever peepeepoopoo niche ideology that isn't even that interesting.

Fuck I'd rather have Paraguay content since at least it's the designated 'omfg so heckin' cursed' nation in South America by virtue of having Alfredo Stroessner as an option.
I think tbf, if you play Brazil, all of the presidents/paths have the potential for good besides the military coup. Even the authdem candidte Barros isn't too bad.

Hey everyone, Chris, Lead Reddit Moderator here.
So, I just woke up about half an hour ago, and... yeah.
A lot of people seemed pissed. It's understandable, if I'm being honest. You put effort into something cool to show it off or you're having a good discussion about a genre that really provided inspiration and then, BAM! "Low-Effort Content." Yeah, it sucks.
And that's why we're changing that, so here are a few things that are going to be changed:

1. We're going to get rid of "Rule 5: No low effort content."

For starters, we're going to be giving out explanations as to just why it was removed.
hings like AI art (which we're tentatively against) or copying people's stuff without giving credit to them (giving people credit is good). Also, just calling it "Low Effort Content" just seems kinda lazy. It's a lot better to just be told what was wrong with the post, or what could be done to fix it.
There'll be a new Rule 5, but there'll be a lot more communication going on, because transparency is good.

2. The mod team's going to be a Hell of a lot more light-handed about this.

Yeah, that seems to be the root of all of this.
The mod team isn't really some group of people acting from ivory towers, and it shouldn't be. Pretty much all of us started off like you guys, as fans of the mod we all enjoy.
Heck, this subreddit is the only reason I have an account here in the first place.
But the problem, at least from what I can tell, is that we on the mod team need to be a little less remove-happy and on our end. That's our bad, and we're changing that ASAP.
Also, the mods that have been more gung-ho have had a talking to, and they've agreed to ease up.

3. Feedback in general is good.

Okay, not LARP or telling us to go fuck ourselves. Tell us where we can improve, so we can get back to being the community of craziness and Nazi-bashing that we all know and love.

4. Tangentially-related TNO stuff will be allowed.

Things like discussion about cyberpunk in relation to Guangdong, TNO-inspired art and all that good stuff? We'll be sure to give these the greenlight from now on.

5. Appeals will be more straightforward.

If your post gets removed, send it to modmail so we can look it over and address it ASAP.

6. We'll be re-evaluating the "Dead Horses" and looking for feedback.

We're not going to allow everything, but that's going to get a look-over to see if we should still have those, and we're open to feedback.

Summary

Anyways, yeah. A lot of the problems over the last few months have been a whole lot of screw-ups on our end, from trigger-happy moderation, to rules that need fixing, to my own inactivity due to work.
A lot of people are upset, and it's understandable. A lot of it just didn't make sense.
We're sorry for all of this, and we hope you can see from the above that we are earnestly trying to fix these problems.

Pretty neat. Shows once again that TNO would work better in literally any other medium than hoi4
I thought that of all things to be an ARG, something like TNO could pull it off.
Like a channel that uploads documentaries that look real but have small details that get more and more obviously different to OTL, and then it turns out to be documentaries from the alternate reality of TNO, or fake news broadcasts like Epentibi's stuff. Nothing major, but small things like that which turn out to be more interesting than the shitty map-painting mod it spawns from.

Allowing the audience to piece together the story themselves? But how will we ensure they get the intended anti-fascist message? They might make their own interpretations of the story, which is out of the question.
How will they know which wholesome blessed dictator to support and who to hate ? And how would I ban people for wrongthink ??
