I should have clarified more, Shrines seem to be the same, I meant overworld puzzles. Like chests and some of the run up to the dungeon stuff. I can still try and get you a screenshot if you want. But I had to update my Switch firmware and it broke my easy transfer screenshot tool so it might be a little bit.

Thanks for all the information. I was pretty excited for the game at first but furry shit in the leaked art book had me a little sceptical. Hearing that the story of BotW was thrown out as well as the continuity of who established the Kingdom of Hyrule has me off of the fence on whether I was going to buy it on release day.

I think I made a post a few days back observing the absurdity of the shield with a spiked iron ball attached to the front of it. If you happen to pick that shield up, would you mind seeing if you actually can shield surf on it? That's probably the only burning question I have for the game at this point.

I've been thinking that Nintendo seems to care so little about the story of their games that even direct sequels will outright contradict the previous game, an example is Mario Galaxy 2, where Mario doesn't know what a Luma is, and the Toad Brigade meet for the first time, even though they should already be a thing, and Rosalina introduces herself at the end of the game as if Mario didn't know who she is.

Or hell, it's like the second Zelda game giving us a different Princess who's been asleep for centuries and then ignoring the one we rescued in the previous game. Valiant's tie-in comics got around it by merging the two into one character.

Tears of the Kingdom seems to do something similar, based on your comments of the Sheikah stuff just being missing with no explanation, this is of course assuming Zelda didn't do something in the past that erased the sheikah stuff, or that there isn't some NPC somewhere that says something like: "Kill Sheikas. Behead Sheikas. Roundhouse kick a Sheika into the Zonai Ruins. Slam dunk a Sheika baby into the trashcan. Crucify filthy Sheika. Defecate in a Sheika's food. Launch Sheikas into the sky islands..."

They seem to have changed the Sky temple or whatever its called, the one from skyward sword thats in the canyon. It doesn't look the same anymore, the goddess statue has collapsed revealing not the location of the master sword from skyward sword, but zonai ruins. Is this game even written by the same people as botw?

So Age of Calamity was a sign of things to come. In any case I thank you for saving me money I would've spent on this, but I am genuinely looking forward to when the game officially comes out and I get to see the main audience react to this weird shit.

The nicest thing I can write about the dark-skinned Hylian ancestors is, from what I've seen, they merely have dark skin, but everything else about them, like facial structure and I assume voices, are white. Dark skin is the most surface-level trait of niggers, literally, but that alone doesn't actually mean anything. However, this is coping, and I don't actually care.

I wasn't going to pay for this game anyway, due to a special arrangement I've that lets me play the games without owning a Nintendo Switch, but I'm not even excited for this game anymore. I've been more strongly anticipating Pikmin 4 anyway.

Also, I genuinely liked Skyward Sword. The tutorials sucked, but it had nice dungeons, fun items, and excellent combat.

Story doesn't really matter in these games, but it still can't be fucking ridiculous like this.

While I'm posting, I still find it to be amusing that Metroid got a better game in Metroid Dread than The Legend of Zelda did this time around. Part of that's surely because Nintendo didn't make it, but instead let a studio that likes Metroid games have the honour.

To be fair any language you don't speak usually sound nice with some few exceptions, that being said the English voice acting in these games is hilariously bad, Skyrim mod tier bad

Is Zelda still doing that forced British accent thing? I noticed that the VA in Age of Calamity was slightly better in BOTW, but it still fell flat

Something that has just occurred to me. All the weapons outside of the Zonai ones (which are just handles meant for you to stick stuff on) are decayed and damaged, they break much faster than before, even the weapons npcs are holding are decayed and rusted. They are quite literally forcing you to use the weapon merge thing, and even when I've merged stuff on to weapons the durability doesn't seem much longer than regular weapons in BotW. I'm going through stuff so quick my weapon inventory is hardly ever really full.

They all have rusted blades, even the description says so

Yeah and I don't know if its because its been years since I played botw but it sounds worse than I remember. Other characters do the forced British accent as well, and a bunch do the 'trying to sound lofty' that you hear from Skyrim mods, which has been mentioned a bunch. It sounds like larpers, or those tik tok cringe compilations or something. I don't know if its the actors, or just horrible direction from Nintendo Treehouse (the root of all evil).

Even Lorefags who worship even the most inconsistent elements in the franchise might not be able to stomach this (at least the ones who don't enslave themselves to moronic "canon" labels).

All it seems to do is nullify the events of all past games, which at least BotW tried to loosely follow by having Hylia statues and little references here and there, especially Skyward Sword, but this one doesn't even try to follow BotW. Now we have furry dragon Zelda with furry rabbit ancestors instead of Hylia origins as far as I can tell. Also the Zonai designs feels like the kind of otherkin shit you would see on furaffinity right down to the clashing color schemes, effeminate weirdness, gaudy outfits and weird anatomy proportions.

Physicsfags are probably going to be the only ones who will be cooming extra hard to this game while casuals remain slaves to the hype. But what really got me was that they didn't even bother to fix up Lon Lon Ranch. This game really is DLC.

I generally just play any big name title that leaks early just because. I played the Pokemon DP remake early despite not even liking Pokemon very much.
