Granted I haven't watched any of his content since Episode 200, but I do believe what the TCT sub says is true: Screenwave-era content with Justin and Kieran was cringe, but somehow 2022-23 solo James stuff is less enjoyable since its boring and soulless.

Did a good job. It makes a point that CURRENT YEAR AVGN can still be short and sweet. To be honest, I think part of what's going on is that the videos are getting longer with more obvious padding so they can cram in more ad breaks and sponsor deals. NB4 they start doing TWO sponsor deals per video.

Will there be a part 2 or part 3? This is genuinely giving me nostalgic vibes from when Bimmy was Jimmy. Just need the Screwattack/GameTrailers intro and it'll be perfect.

Completely new releases don't fit the AVGN character, James isn't like the nostalgia critic where he releases content each week, the episodes are his special series so the quality needs to be maintained which makes it more insulting on how poor they've been honestly, unless he does modern games at this point i don't think it would work. I mean what is the modern game he's ever reviewed? I think the latest he's ever gone Is Sonic 06 from obviously 2006, but can anyone tell me if he's ever gone further for an AVGN Ep?

Bimmy is pretty much more like Chris Bores by the mid-10s. The same Chris Bores people shat on throughout the late-00s for his Irate Gamer videos. And both have declined quality and popularity for the last few years, even if both are still shockingly relevant, despite the respective mid-00s/early-10s vintage videos were original classic time capsules that would never be recreated ever again.
