(I also doubt many of the people excited for Spider-Man 2 are the types bitching about TotK map.)

Couldn't get into the first one Insomniac made. There's a good game in there, it just doesn't appeal to me.

I'm really not particularly excited about this Spider-Man 2. There was already a Spider-Man 2 almost 20 years ago, and it was awesome. Spider-Man 3 and Web of Shadows did plenty with the symbiote gameplay-wise. I'm also expecting a ton of Miles Morales and girlboss MJ in this game, so I might pick it up on a discount in a few years if it ends up on PC.

It's so damn true mine has been collecting dust for almost two years now i only bought two games (Spiderman and Ghosts of Tsushima) and both were used so i paid 50-75% off.Was discussing whether or not someone should get a PS5 for their kid. The only exclusive they still have that i vaguely give a shit about Final Fantasy 16 is only exclusive for six months so i will just wait and play it on pc for free.

It's why I don't give the game too much shit, because like I don't think it was bad or anything, but it just didn't engage me that much.
I accept that it's probably the fact I'm used to open world Spider-Man games for 20 years now and that it just doesn't have anything new going for it since the gameplay was cribbing off Arkham and its gadgets and the story was your typical overly produced, cinematic Sony daddy issue shit. (but Spider-Man always kinda had that with Uncle Ben so it's whatever)
Like I'm soooooo excited for the daddy issues we'll have to see Norman and Harry deal with while also dealing with Symbiote shit as well. It really makes me wonder if Wolverine will be a relatively breath of fresh air in the department, or if they're going to have him rescuing a little girl character or something.
Just doing the same exact storyline as Logan, but much worse. Jut trying to be like Liam Neeson in Taken, except with Wolverine instead. It's weird considering Marvel already has The Punisher, a character that has the same character trait and storylines, so we don't need Wolverine to do the same thing here.

Yeah, I was going to put down "rescue X23 like in Logan" but I thought there's no way they'd go that route in 2023 when X23 should be a strong independent female. But they're also creatively bankrupt and would surely save her kicking all the ass for the sequel or even worse the final 2/3rds of the game.

Welp, no reason to obtain a PS5. If anything, this is motivation for a PC. Emulate the Ratchet & Clank games on there if possible.

Honestly this port was just a matter of time; Insomniac ported Spider-Man over and the God of War ports were given the a-ok. I'm actually surprised it took this long.
I DO know that Insomniac holds the source code of the 4 PS2 R&C titles, after Idol Minds found them. If this sells well on Steam, I hope that could motivate them to provide PC ports of the OG quadrilogy. Sony is completely stupid for not bringing those older PS exclusives onto Steam; they're sitting on a gold mine with that shit but they would rather shuffle off exclusives from the PS5.
