How will Bob react to seeing the Mario film?

Can we get a rundown of his actual knowledge of movies again? I'm under the impression that it's either nonexistant or mostly self-effacing, hyerpretentious fuckery.

I'd assume he has seen a lot of movies, considering he's managed to fill at least three or so books with content from his reviews. However, like the NC, he doesn't really have an idea on how to criticize a film properly, and his writing is poor and obviously biased. He's willing to overlook critical flaws in movies solely because of what the movie is tied to (The SMB movie?), and he generally seems to exaggerate or inflate his own attitude about whatever he watches. If he was really that mad about Pixels, I think he would've had a heart-attack by now.

In short, he's a prolific, if casual, movie fan, but his writing is utterly useless as criticism. That's my theory, at least.

For some reason, I think his hate for Sandler is legit, but had to tone it down lest the cholesterol levels skyrocket.

We know Bob probably failed English because he he couldn't keep the thought of SMB3 out of his pants. So it amazes me the dude can even tweet as it is. Incoherent as it may be.

I seriously think the only reason he got any acclaim as a 'movie critic' is because he happened to be an obsessive shut-in during a time when Hollywood was making blockbuster after blockbuster based on material that appealed to obsessive shut-ins.
Watch him review any non-geek property and its obvious he doesn't have a clue what he's talking about and is completely unable to put himself in the mindset of the target audience, which is something good critics must be able to do.

I feel like Bob doesn't want to be a critic. I feel like him, the NC, whatever, they've evolved beyond being 'critics'. Bob is an entertainer, so he's basically become a very poor stand-up comedian, providing his opinion on works being the medium for his 'comedy'. Bob provides very little reason for why a work failed, but he certainly provides enough vitriol against the work, coming from him. I'm reminded of an article I read about being a music critic, in which you can't just say, 'Coldplay sucks, and this album, by Coldplay, sucks' and then just mug about how shitty Coldplay is. Listen close to the album, find successes, find failures, understand what this album sought out to accomplish, and see if it accomplished it well. How would other people like it? How do you think this would entertain other people?

Bob doesn't really do any of that, and is just happy to rail or gush about anything without looking at it objectively.

Well, I'd say his style is a mix of failed stand-up and politisperging. If that's the case, his latest "bit" is just as unfunny as the others:

Especially after Pixels, most of his reviews consist of him saying what essentially boils down to "It's shit" over and over again in various different ways without any substance as to why.

I remember when Doug made a huge deal about retiring the NC persona, then hired Rachel and Malcolm to do that shitty Demo Reel show. It bombed hard, TGWTG started losing viewers and revenue, and in less than a year, he came crawling back to doing NC episodes again.

Rumour has it that Rachel quit because some of the guys at TGWTG were perving hard on her and sexually harassing her.

Well that's one thing we don't have to worry about with ol' blobby. Women see him and they automatically know to stay 5 feet away from him at all times. He just gives off that creeper vibe with his ample supply of Nintendo shirts, greasy neckbeard, and grating voice.

Jesus Christ! Did you color correct to yellow this time?

He looks like:

OK. So I just saw Suicide Squad. It's not a burning trash heap like Blob claims. Is it great? No. Is it entertaining enough if you know just a wee bit of the back story of a few characters and the premise of the Suicide Squad? Yes. Would I recommend it to non-comic fans? NO.

Now, as to trying to sit through his review... holy FUCK! Besides his urine colored skin tone in it, his Bahstahn accent is atrocious... and I've lived in Boston. His version of the accent is more like someone doing a caricature of the accent. It's obvious he knows about 0 of the premise of the Suicide Squad, or any of the characters involved. Hell, I don't even know all the characters in the movie, but I knew enough of them to go with the flow while watching it. Then you watch his Ghostbusters 2016 review, and he's all "It's pretty good, go see it!" while the rest of the semi-sane world avoids it like the plague.

Blobbo probably has never talked to other human beings, so his accent is probably degrading rapidly from the lack of socialization. Or more likely than not, like DSP he probably has horrible Aspergers that makes him intentionally amp up his voice's articulation due to being so shit at talking as a kid. And he didn't even understand the fucking suicide squad? That they were the DC universe's answer to the Dirty Dozen who get sent into deathtraps to rid the US of such filth? Something you can tell from the fucking name? My guess he was too busy fuming about how shitty comic books (which are for losers) get more and better movies than his precious childhood video games.

Bobbert looks like he took a piss bath before filming, how the fuck do you fuck up lighting this bad to make yourself look like that? And that accent is sounding more and more like "Drunk Brit trying to be American" every day.

And between the accent and his asinine opinions are making the reviews more unlistenable than before. And that's before getting into the review itself- It makes no sense whatsoever. There's complaining and then there's being completely ignorant to the source material. I have to wonder if he even paid attention to the film itself.

If Bobbo still did close-ups, then the Suicide Squad video would probably sweep the competition for the most viscerally unpleasant review ever made.
