Does anyone actually achieve that story element with Fang? I guess the parents do, but I don't think they're in the story that much to really warrant them as characters. Maybe there is cause I am just basing this off of watching through a playthrough that I fell asleep to, so someone who actually has played/watched the game fully can enlighten me.

Near the end Naomi kind of gets her dander up about everyone dying and Trish does a little bit but the entire drama is relieved in about 5 minutes of play time anyway

Deep Impact was about the macro and micro scale reaction of an event like that. It had some drama, sure, but it felt realistic enough to the point it didnt feel cringy. They actually bothered to show one of the asteroids hitting and how much destruction the SMALLER one caused, killing a number of the cast while at it (with the bigger one on the way implied to be pretty much the end all life on Earth). It does make the predictable heroic sacrifice of the astronauts at the end feel actually impactful tho.

No one in it was a tranny tho so idk if it would fly today.

watching someone play this on stream rn, and I haven't seen this brought up before in the thread. but this game really has the worst "fake twitter" I've ever seen. like I can't count the number of generic memes I've seen just given a dinosaur make over.

I think YourMovieSucks played Snoot Game and GVH on stream this weekend, but I can't seem to find any VODs or clips. Did the channel get struck down or something? Didn't see it in the YMS thread. From the clips I did see, it seems like he played Snoot for 30 minutes, got bored, then switched to GVH and played it through while absolutely hating it. Not even the obnoxious gay furries like this shit. There also seemed to be a strange number of technical issues with the game, like scene assets not loading in properly and having "pop-in."

To be fair, last time I watched Adum play anything he hated it. He always hates a game. I've gotten to a point where I can only see him as deliberately being contrarian. Although he did like Yakuza 0 so he's not totally lost.
No idea why you can't find the VOD, it's available on twitch. It seems he has changed the names of his channels from Adumplaze to YMSPlays and YMSPlays2 (for the weird broken up VODs) on youtube.

I stopped watching his content in like mid 2021 because his chat is gayer than he is, and some of them are unironically Vaush fans. Gotta cater to the zoomers, I guess. I'll stop now, this isn't the YMS cow thread.

More like he probably was low-key seething that the progressive game he really wanted to support wasn't as great as the nazi shitpost game that had more going on in it.

Adam likes to pretend that stories matter in media, but when it's obvious he has some sort of bias, especially a political one, he has no problem going "yaasss queen!!". And in this case, since he's a fellow leaf like the devs, it probably meant more to him than others that it had to be good.

The difference between Snoot and GVH is night and day. One has a genuine story with choices that actually matter and have consequences with passion and emotion that shows in the work and writing. The other is just checking off the progressive boxes to cater to special snowflakes that buy into this crap, where nothing matters in the end and everything is safe and not scary. How you would choose to put more effort into the latter rather than the former is beyond logic and reason.

Skimmed around and saw he actually enjoyed Snoot way more than GVH, laughed quite a bit at snoot's humor and said he plans to return to finish it down the line.
With GVH he thought it was the worst thing ever.

Also from what I saw in the stream chat, it was one of his mods named "Oliviamancer" doing all the seething over the game with the usual bigot/transphobia spiel.

Nintendo will win by simply not shooting themselves in the foot as much as Sony and Microsoft, especially given how consoles are pretty much glorified discounted gaming PCs by this point.

An ideal gaming industry at this point is Nintendo and PC to remain while Sony and Microsoft call it quits Sega styled.
