I have discovered that this GoFundMe was most likely over the woman beating incident. Look at the date on the arrest record for him beating the woman:



May 4th, 2018. Now look at the date he created the "HELP VITO NOT GO TO PRISON" GoFundMe:



Five days later, May 9th, 2018. Here are a couple choice donations he received, but please remember that technically you can place anything in the name field for your donation so these could be jokes or trolls.



My (completely unproven) theory is this was circulated privately among friends and confidantes, and then once the money was raised or the charges were dropped he tried to hide it by changing the name to "Pizza Party" and the description to "Pizza time" while GoFundMe stuck with the original title in the URL.

EDIT: Daisy Gesualdi appears to be an artist from Connecticut.

By 2010, an archived portfolio page still provides a name of Christopher Vito Gesualdi, but he was no longer in Western Massachusetts and instead was in Cambridge (i.e., Boston).

By 2012, he signs off his "About Gesualdi" page as "C. Vito Gesualdi", but his email address had changed and was just Vito.

The following year, the "C." had been dropped.

I disagree. To me, "definitely that lines up" just means "that is consistent with my view of him".

They also say "he's from my area". That area is Western MA.

This person is from western MA and knew him as Chris. He had been going by Vito and living in Los Angeles since at least 2011, according to Gesualdi's own website. I think the most obvious explanation is that this happened years before the 2018 incident.

“Three Generations,” a group exhibition of paintings, etchings and sculpture by three generations of the Gesualdi family — Vito Gesualdi, David Gesualdi and Daisy Gesualdi — will be at the Gallery at Still River Editions in Danbury Saturday, Jan. 11, through Friday, March 27.

The exhibition opens with a free, public opening reception Jan. 11, from 2 to 4 p.m. (Snow date is Jan. 18.)

David Gesualdi, a Bethel resident, is perhaps the best known of the three artists locally because of his most prominent public local work, a bronze statue of P.T. Barnum commissioned by the Bethel Historical Society to celebrate Barnum’s 200th birthday in his hometown. The statue resides in front of Bethel Public Library. In this exhibition, he is showing a marble sculpture as well as a series of etchings.
Also exhibiting are David’s father, Vito, who has come into his own as a painter during his retirement, and David’s daughter, Daisy, who is majoring in art at Western Connecticut State University, and primarily works in oil paint on canvas.

However, I did find a photo of a woman on the page who appears to be Lorene Boucher (fb) (a), not sure of the relation to Chris, but she was in some form of relationship with John. When checking for the Gesualdi clan on her friends list, we find John, "Vito" and his sister Marissa (a), John's brother Dave (a), and cousin Daisy (a).

Now, our newly found family members have all hidden their friends list, but the names of people who like photos are still available. And wouldn't you know it, on cousin Daisy's profile photo we have a like from one Nancy Savoie Gesualdi (a).

Now, this is as far as I've gone with one exception. Nancy has a few videos that are public on her facebook profile. I'm not going to link them directly because they're of Andy Gesualdi, who appears to be underage and heavily autistic. There are photos of another boy that I can only assume is Daniel. Not sure if Nancy is Chris' step-mom, so the two boys are his step siblings or what, but they're too young and far enough removed from him to look into any further. My working theory is that one of these women, Nancy or Lorane, is Chris' birth mother and the other is maybe a second wife to John? Not entirely sure and with how little information is easily findable on their facebooks it'll take more time to untangle this family bush.
