He and the family stopped going at some point around covid timeframe. More recently Nick did a thing where he explained that church isn't necessary because its not in the bible.has rekeita ever addressed if he and his family still goes to church anymore? iirc, he was a sunday school teacher. at this point, i would be surprised if he still does.
The homeschool collective that the kids are involved in seems rather religious and the kids can be presumed to be taken care of that way. It seems somewhat fanatically evangelical in that NIck talked about how the collective doesn't celebrate <non-biblical> things like Christmas but rather celebrates "jewish feasts".
The story is that Nick was asked to stop teaching sunday school at some point. Exact reasons as far as know are vague.
Its possible that this is what happened with his sunday school class. teaching. But I think Nick would also view church in general as a horrifically burdensome amount of work for such a busy guy like him.the one thing about christian communities is that if you reject the christian lifestyle, openly, you will lose all friendly contact with the community and possible excommunication from the church, itself. with rekieta's youtube/social media presence, i find it hard to believe that his church is not aware of rekieta's hedonism.
I tend to think Nick in his own mind has reached at least agnosticism. But has to pretend to still believe for the wife.
The wife presents more interesting questions. She is (or was) totally invested in family and children. She seems like she would have been the really churchy type. How she came to either leave church or allow Nick to convince her to leave church would say alot about the marriage and who she is today.
