As I recall he wanted to talk to him about 'being a creator where the landscape of the platform has changed' and 'inventing a new type of content in "Let's Play"' video streams.
Back then, Nick still had brain cells, so I might have enjoyed the interview.
Nick did a LOCALS bitching stream:
- He FINALLY picked up the beeping robot, but he was unable to figure out how to turn it off. Lol! 10 minutes later he put it in another room.
- He told RealDragonLady (who asks almost every stream if Nick saw her latest measage) that he saw it and probably had a positive response. It was done wirh some asperity.
I believe she is using him for legal advice of some kind.
- Nick will have TurtleBoy on to discuss a potential police cover-up and his own charging for the alleged covered crime. He will also have a call-in show on Thursday evening.
- Someone asked about the woman who interrupted the last LOCALS stream with 3 phone calls. He did not remember. It took him 10 seconds to think about it.
- Nick has not checked his e-mail in days. He opined that he just does not have the ability to go through e-mails after all his notifications. It is too tiring. He is tired because he always has to be 'on'. He cannot just have fun on SM becuase it is part of his brand. No one can understand unless you are online like him.
- Nick recommends that the ideal for a creator would be a 4-7 day vacation EVERY MONTH. He wanted to try to do that, but he was glad he did not because people bitched about the breaks he DID take, even though is was only 3/7 of what he wanted. He works 5 days a week. He still wants to do it, but he needs to have better communication about when and where he is. Better planning would make it work. Nick is always doing research online.
- There have been changes in Nick's life, energy level, motivation, his schedule, and volunteer work, and he made the mistake of setting a 5 day per week stream expectation and foing extra stream content. People forget he used to skip streams 'all the time 2-3 years ago' when he did not have a legal topic. (Lie). Dick Masterson did it with his weekly podcast making 20k USD a month. People get mad when you break expectations, even when you are working hard to find content in the background. People cannot understand how much different it is from a normal job.
Where was this kind of self awareness and insight a year ago?
- Nick is going to be doing the How to Be a Streamer Bootcamp videos. One will be on how to manage when other people impact your scheduling. When their schedule changes and impacts you, or they need your help, so you need to take more tike off for them.
Is Nick projecting?
- Nick said the being online is like having your life to be projected in front of friends and church. It make meeting people you would ignore in the grocery store and weird because they know things about you they normally would not. Nick has chosen to be 100% himself online. Nick said you can do that, or create an act and hope you never break character. Nick did the first and doesn't care what people think.
- People misconstrue Nick all the time when they compare what be has said over time. They were not in conflict, but people misunderstand and you cannot change it. Every person you interact with is judging you and that is tiring. You need to be prepared for stalking, lawsuits, doxxing, and people visiting graves.Graves. People will dig into EVERYTHING and you cannot recall everything you have said and explain it to your friends, family, and business partners when something gets messed up. People will ALWAYS put what you have said in tbe most negative light beciase they WANT it to be true.
- He eplained the context of his blackface picture, hanging out with Drexel in college, and picking Drex up at his parents' house. Also, that his father never remembered his name, even after years of being Drexel's freinds. It got put out becuase his private MySpace data was sold with the company. He freaked out when he saw it the first time as a newly barred attorney.
Sounds like he is learning a bit about consequences.
- He will try to schedule LOCALS content (for real this time) but his schedule changes weekely.
