Though I'd love to say it's because people are starting to have some taste, it's a lot likelier the sales figures are crap compared to the first Spooderman for the same reason FFXVI was.
Turns out being a PS5 exclusive means your reach is ass, so I imagine the sales numbers are good... for what the PS5 could ever hope for. Lets not kid ourselves, PS5 owners are desperate for an excuse to justify owning it and this is all they are getting for half a year at a minimum.

You think it's even feasible to back port it to PS4 to make up the lost, probably hundreds of millions? It would be the first instance I can even think of later putting out a game on old gen. But most Sony owners own PS4 with no intention of buying the gayer sequel.

Seeing how the game looks worse than the first one and how I don't think doing a series of fetch quests so some faggots can blush at each other consumes too many resources, I presume they made it PS5 exclusive to make the console more enticing. If they now decided to shit it out into the PS4, well the word of mouth is out now, I expect it will sell a lot worse than if it had just gotten released with the PS5 version at the same time. But realistically, I expect another "Remaster" to be shat onto Steam and they'll call it a day.

I imagine the truth lies somewhere in the middle. PS5 sales are extremely limited, sure, but over half of the word of mouth I've seen on normies sites is controversy surrounding the crowbarred inclusion of MJ stealth sections (that were universally hated) almost done out of spite, horrific character designs, and the nigger spray painting section. None of this spiteful not-Spiderman shit could do anything but hurt sales. I am a gigantic Spiderman fag and I could probably tolerate Miles if I had to but I'm not spending 70 dollars on that shit.
And yes, nobody likes Miles except for white women on Twitter (who don't buy games) and niggers (who can't afford them).
The current agenda can't stand that there is a committee approved nigger replacement for Spiderman out there and people aren't buying, so their solution is to destroy and emasculate Peter as much as possible. This too is a big turn off. Nobody wants Spidersimp or Spiderfailure.

It's sad how miles actually came across as a worthwhile character in the ultimate comics before being ported over to 616 with no plan or passion. Dude really needs his own city and villains or else he's never going to stand out.

this shit is so sad, tbh. i'm not admonishing you for it, no no. it's just that i know this is a near-universal sentiment among any audience in the world now. anyone who would have included a character like this in their product now will never do it because it's become so radioactive. is it any wonder that brands in the united states have removed characters from their products? aunt jemima's gone. the land 'o lakes butter girl is gone. uncle ben is gone. no one can be an ordinary author or director or performer or actor anymore. there was a time i wrote a short fictional story in high school and one of the characters was a discreet lesbian. i had no ulterior motive and thought nothing of it. but if i were in high school now, writing that project, i'd never have made a character like that. you attract a lot of bad attention whether you do it or not, and people are justifiably furious about it. not to mention, audiences are poised to generate backlash the second they see these exceptional snowflake diversity characters belittle and demean everyone around them and force beloved protagonists and other fan favorites to take a back seat to their awesomeness.

It wasn't particularly insightful honestly, I've just never seen a game ever get less woke, it usually seems to only get worse. TLOU had gay men and interracial lesbian teens, so I wasn't the least bit surprised with that sequel either. Same for Street Fighter 6, once they started up with censorship and uglying up the girls (not just in SFV, but MvC too) it was obvious which direction they were going in.
Liberals being more racist than conservatives will always be funny to me. If a conservative designed that character he'd be cancelled.
