They actually attempted to storm it, leading the Captain to declare "mayday" and ordering the crew to "repel boarders".
The protestors were not arrested by the local PD. They were detained by the coast guard. They are fucking fucked bros.

Interesting, is that a newer generation thing? Weird accent aside, most of them spoke reasonably well. The people I've worked with were at least graduates, so that could be why.
If you work in particular industries, fluency in English would be more widespread. For example, pretty much everyone who works in the hotelier industry speaks English, of course, due to dealing with international travelers. Scientists and those who work in industries that regularly communicate with people overseas probably also have higher English fluency. You'd also probably see higher fluency among those who frequent areas where foreigners congregate or live in large numbers. Just a random Japanese person on the street? All you'd get would be confused looks, maybe an attempt to try to talk to you in broken English.

So I strongly disagree that all Jews on the left will stay there. Most aren't that extreme - just look at the numbers from Democrat primaries and recent presidential elections: as a voting bloc they tend to vote for the Dem closest to the center. At the very least, this has brought the vast majority of them closer to the center. We may want a strong right wing government, and may not want to live in a centrist country, we do - and that's a lot better than living in a socialist country.
