Fired up the ol' 4chan for the first time in a couple months or so and every single board is infested with AI threads. I would ask why they don't just make an AI containment board, but we all know the mods will continue to put zero effort into improving the site.
I did see one interesting thread about drama happening on some furry site, but it was deleted within minutes. Typical.

Not sure where else to put this, but does anyone else find it strange that the establishment doesn't give a fuck about deleting 4chan? The establishment hates kiwifarms but doesn't care about 4chan which is more degenerative and is more famous. I think it's just they want to confine everyone who disagrees with them in what's essentially an internet slum.

I don't think the site actually has many real leftists outside of /tttt/ and /n/ most of them are likely teenagers or mentally stundeted adults which hold this belief that 4chan is some alt-right haven when in reality only /pol/ and maybe /k/ and /o/ are boards that have a majority right-wing userbase. These people think they're leftist Heros shitting up boards on technolgy and anime when in reality those boards just hate annoying people that try to ruin their hobbies eg troons and other kind of moralfags.

Not sure how this would be possible, but Anon(s) on 4chan are actively suggesting that Donald Trump winning the election in 2024 is now by design because the promoted “anti-establishment” heroes Elon Musk and Joe Rogan, along with new Navy recruitment ads replacing ”woke“ ideology during the Israel vs. Palestine conflict will make it possible.

I said this already in this thread, but the derangement syndrome of that one particular board from the rest of the site is hilarious. /pol/ is a litmus test, you don't have to like it, but if you're crying about it 24/7 you don't belong on the site(or this particular sector of the internet), period.

I think it's because 4chan auto-deletes. It's the archive aspect of kiwifarms that is hated and what causes so much trouble. The 4chan archive sites are more in danger than 4chan itself imo.

The number of archive sites dwindled down in recent years. Different archives always used to appear and disappear frequently, but now new ones stopped popping up.
I don't think there's anything political about that development, archiving used to be some novel, small hobby of data hoarding autists, now there are so many better things to waste your time and money on if you're interested in that sort of thing. Imagine paying money for storage space and bandwidth to archive the gazillion AI pics that now get posted on a daily basis that no one cares about.

Every now and then I come back to take a look at what's happening, and it just gets worse and worse and worse. It's kinda sad, like seeing an old friend screw up their life and hit a new low whenever you see them.

I'd like to know too. warosu started experiencing downtime a couple of weeks ago, briefly returned online, and is now down again. Similarly, fireden has been phasing in and out of operation since April. I hope both don't die permanently.
The 2020s are shaping up to be the period of archive death.
