I don’t think so. I’ve listened to borderline every pantera song and they’re honestly not that misogynistic. I mean they are a little bit but all men are so I’m not gonna hate on them for it. Dimes playing is just too good for me to care

Any thoughts on Glamtera?

lol I actually like glamtera with Phil in it. In the Cowboys From Hell deluxe edition they have a glam metal song called the Will to Survive that I think is just so adorable. It’s not a great song but if you’re a diehard fan it’s fun to hear what Pantera would have sounded like had not Phil’s balls dropped

Based if you are an actual other woman who enjoys metal. I've seen all kinds of bands like Slayer, Carpathian Forest, Gwar, Eisregen, Pungent Stench, Skyforger (drank beers with them backstage, it was awesome), Napalm Death, etc. I am really into WWI metal like 1914, Minenwerfer, Kanonenfieber, etc.

Oh you’re an ACTUAL metal head that’s into the heavy stuff lmao that’s awesome. I’ll admit I’ve never heard of Eisregen and Skyforger but I love Carpathian Forest so much it’s unreal. Napalm Death is just an ungodly based band and everyone who likes them is closer to the earth and nature. I’m not autistic enough to listen to world war 1 metal and tbh I didn’t even now that was a genre but i might check that out it seems immersive.
btw do you like Arch Enemy? Angela Gossow is my spirit animal and unironically the coolest chick in music history

Yeah, I saw Arch Enemy at Wacken Open Air. They are really good. One year when I went there, I saw Carpathian Forest and they stopped midconcert for a marriage proposal. Can't beat that shit, believe me, lol. Eisregen is uh interesting. Probably best to avoid it, but Skyforger is Latvian folk metal and goddamn do I love folk metal. This is reconstructed old Prussian/Latvian. I met the guy who helped reconstruct it in Lithuania.

Romuva is the old religion of the Balts, of which I am descended. In Latvian, it is Dievturība. So they are basically just singing to the old pagan gods of the region or they are just singing folk songs. In German, which I speak a bit better, there is Menhir and I absolutely love them. This is just a song retelling the myth of the sacrifice of Wotan.


This song is Old High German and sorry, I am absolutely a dead language sperg:
