I'd have to disagree on her designs being that good. Sure, Stolas and Stella look great if you ignore anything about their personalities whatsoever, but frankly those two are exceptions. When you look at the actual IMPs, who were the main character before Stolas' ass and cloaca showed up, they don't really have a lot of personality with their outfits, they all have the exact same color scheme and blend together when they stand too close, sure you can try to guess their personality from their expressions on their renders, but you'd never know they were a squad of hitmen.

Blitzo looks less like a goofy, horse loving assassin who used to be a clown, and more like an 11 year old school shooter with that black duster of his and the fucking eyeballs on his gloves, why does he have those? Moxxie looks like a butler, and Millie wears the most boring clothes in the series, holy shit her design is bad, literally everything about her entire theme of southern assassin demon is done better by Striker, who's also one of the few good designs.
literally lmao like you've said it better than i do but additionally
its all just white noise "how many things i can put on to make them look like cool tumblr sexymen' while simultaneously stripping them of all character.

then youve got shit like beezleboob looking like a 12 year old's original donut steel character + random visual noise added, the main characters families which are so forgettable its funny, the tryhard clown designs which again fall into the trope of "we wanted to make tumblr sexymen" and making them as un-clownlike as possible... it goes on. for such a 'diverse' show there isnt a wide range of diverse designs wither. (no greedy fat fucks in hell???)

What would happen if Fatrick Tomlinson went to the hazbin hotel universe? fatrick.png

Interesting that Viv brought Mick back on.
Rodgers is voicing Katie now? Can anyone give a single reason why this won't be a total disaster influenced solely by being friends with Viv?
Also Mick's character doesn't even have a proper name, so he's certainly just one of those bit characters that would usually be voiced by some random employee in the office that day, Viv probably just brought him on for maybe a half a minute of screentime just so she can say "See! I didn't abandon all the VAs in the pilot!"

That’s what it sounds like.

It’s still eyebrow-raising though, especially since Mick has a singing role according to this article. That pretty much kills the “she didn’t bring back the pilot VAs because they can’t sing” claim.

Don Darryl Rivera is reprising his role as Travis, but he’s also been made out to be a minor character.

Depicting gay people as unrepentant predators/rapists is too edgy for her, with the possible exception of Valentino.
The thought of Blitzø having to keep up with Stolas' demands to be his personal fucktoy in order to have access to high power, all the while Stolas proving to be a unrepentant piece of shit to him by threatening to kill Blitzø if he so much as leaves or snitches he's fucking a lesser-than-dirt species (thus putting his position as royalty in danger), is a way more edgy and cool concept than what Vivz is willing to go for.

Big thunk.
I've got to wonder how viable it would've been if Viv had taken a page out of The Interview's book and had released each HB/HH episode on Premium-VOD.

She could've got investors on board for funding, bypassing the legacy industry largesse, and keeping the original creative talents and pilot production quality.

She's got plenty of fans who'd gladly pay $10 or more, per episode, especially for cartoons so revolutionary in the current sea of stagnant content.

None of it would've been easy, of course, but it would've been far better than this slow and painful death.

^there's your answer. These people, by and large, are allergic to hard work.
I can't disagree.

This franchise was ambitious from the get-go, so much so that it needed a business model different from other cartoons to survive and thrive.

Even if HH as a product turned out to be shit, and as many here have pointed out, it seems it will be, it would've proven that creators could circumvent the media oligarchy.

'Shame Viv and Spindle Horse didn't have anyone business-savvy on board, because they would've told them that no streaming platform would willingly shell out the sky-high amount of capital needed for HH, what with the abundance of hand-drawn animation and other costs it would have.

And to think all of this could of probably been avoided if viv either acted her age, hired a social media manager to manage her account, or just not sperg out over little shit
also lol

The funny thing about this is that Vivziepop literally tried to cater to these people and of course they turned their back on her.

And going back to the new cast for Hazbin — I understand that things can change from the pilot, but it rubs me the wrong way how Viv pushed out the pilot VAs just to replace them with big names. Husk’s original VA returning for a small role feels like a slap to the face.

Once again, grain of salt, but potentially huge spoilers for Hazbin regarding the big bad.
I fully believe this, because there's two huge things going for it.
"Root" exists, but she is an extremely obscure character who hasn't shown up yet and was called Roo.

Holy shit! I was going to post some dumb Twitter takes, but this is way more interesting. This is just such a confusing twist. Would Rosie then be Charlie's mom? Does Lucifer have any idea what the fuck is going on? Is this essentially just a wife-swap episode?

I assume this will all happen in season 2, because that would be way too much shit for season 1. But I also know that Viv wants this to go on for at least four seasons, so maybe it would be reveled even later. If she even gets four seasons. I doubt Hazbin Hotel will last more than two.

Also @The Fair Lady , was that message sent to you?

No, I pulled it from chaifootsteps’ Tumblr. They claim the source is extremely reliable.

As for my two cents, I have to agree that this sounds both highly possible and convoluted as fuck.

Edit: Further proof, not looking good.

I don't usually like to criticize plot twists without getting the context first and seeing if they do the first rule of a decent twist by properly foreshadowing it and not having it come so far out of nowhere that absolutely nobody could see it coming even if they were told there was a big twist in the works, but here I can say it's completely nonsensical and reads like Viv put in a twist just for the sake of having a twist and didn't put any thought into it.

You got Lilith turning out to be Eve in disguise, you got Rosie turning out to be Lilith in disguise, you got Alastor not there to laugh at people falling into their vices and failing to better themselves, but because Rosie (Lilith) told him to play bodyguard or some shit. It seems like she fell into the age-old trap of thinking a plot twist inherently makes the story better.

I might add that it's hilarious that Eve isn't even the big villain in the end and its instead Root. The show is having a twist villain on top of another twist villain, it just makes an already dumb twist even more so, because the more complex a twist is the easier it is to fuck it up. It's almost like one of those parodies where they keep adding more and more curves to a twist to a comedic extent.

Im so sick of many modern cartoons redeeming their big bad and then pulling out an even bigger bad last minute- usually done by the same types like Dana Terrace or Noelle Stevenson
