I have a soft spot for “It was a good day”, even though the video is kind of cringe. One of the few rap songs I like besides "Tootsie Roll". It all became low effort shit after that.

I guess this is what happens when your audience grows; people start feeling fucking betrayed when you aren't saying exactly what they want to hear all the time. I used to really look forward to reading the comments after streams, it used to be pretty engaging. Now it's always just some fucking assholes complaining about shit that doesn't matter.
I'd take that as a compliment, it means they're actively listening to you and analyzing your commentary. It's really bizarre seeing people who actually listen to me start taking a strong, hardline negative stance against everything I say, without any benefit of a doubt, without any respect for where my positions may come from. I can't even talk about the Texas shit without it being taking the bait or whatever the fuck even though I tried to make it funny.
YouTube commenters are, and always will be, some of the dumbest fuckers on the planet. You've got more chance of finding spiritual enlightenment from /pol/ than you have of gleaning an iota of wisdom from YT, especially from people who couldn't figure out how to watch the actual stream. It's really frustrating reading the comments on the YouTube archives
that is really impressive@Null talking about that one Skee-lo song compelled to make Joshcore of it

If I were in that Youtube comments section I would have upvoted that guy too. Nobody reasonable expects you to get every little detail correct, but don't expect us to just let you get away with it either. If you say something that upsets someone, they'll let you know. That's life. As long as you keep making these little mistakes every stream, people will complain about them. You can clap back if you want, or not. Maybe dedicate a section next stream to complaining about those Youtube comments, it could be entertaining. The difference between 6 and 10 is 4, whereas the difference between 10 and the rest of the country is twice the size of your entire magazine. Who gives a fuck? And 9 people liked this, like 9 people saw this post and agreed wholeheartedly that my unspecific knowledge of the most shit state in the US is a big deal.
This right here is the best advice. After all these years of running this site, I should think one of the biggest lessons you could gleam from all the lolcows you've seen is to not get upset every time someone disagrees with you, or gets pissy with you. At the end of the day what are they going to do? Complain more in Youtube comments? Great, who gives a shit, the world keeps turning and you've got bigger problems to worry about.Don't be gay, Joshua.
Do you WANT an audience who universally agrees with every take, on every issue?
People just like talking shit. Don't worry about it.
The only betrayal in all of this is the Bad at Video Games fan zone. The Baddies cried out in the comments for more content, but did the Sneeder listen?I guess this is what happens when your audience grows; people start feeling fucking betrayed when you aren't saying exactly what they want to hear all the time. It might be surprising to more people than you might expect. Many sharks lay eggs, after all, but hammerhead sharks give live birth.Great deduction, jackass: I was born to a mother.
If Null wants to have a segment of angry complaints he could set up a voicemail only phoneline and let people leave messages. No thanks to having a segment complaining about complainers.
