I read a book by Stephen King when I was kid called Cell. The premise is fantastic and it's a fun read, well before we get to the standard retarded King ending. Basically, everyone with a cell phone gets a call at the same time one day and whatever they hear turns them into 28 days later zombies. Only the people who missed the call didn't turn, and only those that weren't instantly massacred by the zombies survived to be a part of the story.

Anyway, I often catch myself daydreaming about something like that happening to redditors, and instead of turning them in to zombies, they just keel over.

Yeah, that's a good point and a reason to check labels. They have to list how much is carotene at least. If you're not going insane with supplements or eating lots of carnivore liver none of this is really a worry.

People fall into the "A little is good so a lot must be better" trap a bit too easily sometimes.

I think it's the site culture. Despite its massive scope Reddit really encourages group think and sloganeering. Every community does to an extent but something about Reddit turbocharges the process. Maybe it's the voting system, maybe it's just the innate zeitgeist but it really does turn people into close-minded scowling little Stalinbots. I've seen multiple people undergo IRL personality changes from spending too long on there, it's insidious.

Do they? I find consuming too much media whatever that agrees with me to be just as exhausting as consuming too much media whatever that disagrees with me. That's why I browse both kf and preddit. There's stuff that I disagree with on kf also but at least I don't instinctively hate everyone on this website. It's fun to see what the other side is doing in real time also.

There does appear to be a new subreddit to replace the said banned AnimeHate one, called r/AnimeHateRemastered. Or at least, it took up the mantel, since it was already created before r/AnimeHate got banned. r/Lolitary is also a thing too, so not all hope is lost, yet.

The name does look like one of those bot accounts, and I don't want to know how desperate you'd need to be, to run a bot to run a subreddit about wanting to quit moe stuff.

I do wonder if there is an actual demand for a subreddit to talk about said anime addiction, like how there's subreddits for other addictions such as r/StopGaming.

r/OnlyFans is a wholesome big chungus subreddit that's literally about fans. There was a recent change in the mod team, and the new head janny tried to turn r/OnlyFans into a NSFW sub where OF thots could ply their wares (as if there aren't enough subreddits for this already).

The r/OnlyFans autists went on a mass reporting spree, patrolling thots harder than they've ever been patrolled. This led to the Reddit admins stepping in, appointing an admin as a temporary janny, and recruiting a bunch of the old r/OnlyFans regulars as jannies.

Now the sub is back to being about only fans.

This just exemplifies the typical childfree redditor. They don't choose to be like that because they want to focus on carreer or self-improvement, but because they want to be eternal teenagers and waste their entire existence playing vidya and getting high without contributing to society in any significant way. Take one look at r/childfree and you'll realize that their hateboner for children doesn't come from "hurr durr people pestering and judging them" as they like to claim, it comes from kids and families reminding them that their life choices come from a childish desire to shirk responsibility, familial or otherwise.

Most of them are also heavily depressed, which is unsurprising, and the antinatalist bullshit most of them buy into is pretty clearly just a projection of their misery on society.
