Rocksteady teases Suicide Squad game

  • 🐕 I am attempting to get the site runnning as fast as possible. If you are experiencing slow page load times, please report it.
I mean, Waller was supposed to be a landwhale and they didn't explain why that changed either.
Waller actually enjoyed being obese. It gave her an imposing frame to flaunt her authority and power.
Making her waif and bug-eyed ironically weakens her and turns her into a joke that no dangerous criminal would take seriously.

Lex Luthor would never simp for Wonder Woman. The man hates gods. He hates those that were born with power instead of earning it.
He doesn't hate Gods, as he kinda aspires to be one. If nothing else, to be remembered evermore, like a God would be remembered.
But I do agree he hates most of the JL as he views them as threats to humanity. If Luthor could have it his way, he'd lead humanity in a galactic war to conquer every other species. He hates mankind's reliance on aliens to keep themselves safe.

Superman would never be a utter naïve dumbass and welcome Brainiac. He would be very suspicious of him.
I think it's implied he doesn't know anything about Brainiac. I can see him being somewhat welcoming at first but then immediately yell "NOW!" at the JL the moment Brainiac revealed his plan to terraform Earth.

  • The Suicide Squad would never treat Wonder Wolman with such respect and reverence. It is so stupid that they do.
  • Captain Boomerang would never piss on the Flash.
I think he would, just not after he saved them twice and Boomerang being aware that Flash wasn't himself.
If anything, he'd be motivated to kill Brainiac for robbing him of his chance to kill the real Flash in mind and spirit.
Lastly, he'd either lament he couldn't cop a feel of Amazonian buns/chesticles or laugh at the irony of this lover's quarrel gone wrong rather than cry about the Amazonian kicking the bucket.

This is who works for Sweet Baby Inc. This is how they feel about Batman. "He is just some rich, white billionaire. Nobody should look up to him or cry over him." Why the fuck would you have someone like this write for your flagship character? 400 million well spent WB.

If there is one good thing about this game is that it probably killed the "villains are the true heroes" trope. Everyone is sick to death of this trope. People are sick and tired of the "relatable quirky villains who are just misunderstood". People want their villains to be villains and heroes to be heroes. I think we may be seeing an end to this nihilistic, post modern writing that is plaguing the entertainment industry.

Give me the "Snyder" cut AKA the original brooding/nihilistic 2014 version of the Suicide Squad film over this any day.
Supervillains being super evil in spite of working for a corrupt fed is still relatively unexplored ground in capeshit cinema.
No attempts at creating redeeming qualities to suggest sympathy.
No JJ Abrams/James Gunn/Joss Whedon/any nigger who's name starts with J not named the Joker quirky gobshite. Pure villainy.
Lot's of people being murdered, looking badass, and general escapism.

I'll still pay for a movie like that.

What I wouldn't give to be a fly on the wall of WB right now. You just know that they are panicking and demanding for heads to roll over this. It took the Avengers game just a year to drop from the Steam store. I give this game six months or less for it to be pulled from Steam. This may be the biggest financial flop to have ever happen in gaming.
Oh come on, you know the bigwigs will just cut the development staff, probably the ones who were halfway competent first, take big bonuses, and keep pushing the Sweet Baby Inc ESG/DEI bullshit.

How the fuck did Batman get brainwashed? Batman is known as the man with the indomitable will. He should have been the last guy who could be brainwashed.
Exactly, not to mention the man is a paranoid genius with contingency plans on top of contingency plans. The moment he learned about any of the other superheroes and their villains existing, he'd be coming up with plans to stop them all. Not to mention all the insane countermeasures he has for the Batcave, there's no way the SS should have gotten anywhere close to him.

This is who works for Sweet Baby Inc.
That twitter handle seems familiar. Isn't that that Maya "Felix" Kramer person that was tied to Sarkeesian or Quinn during GamerGate? If so, it figures that she'd end up with that SweetBaby grift.

Exactly, not to mention the man is a paranoid genius with contingency plans on top of contingency plans.
The only reasonable explanation is that the brainwashing made him retarded.

For licensed games, this is kind of cyclical. If you are an old person gamer, like me, you probably remember when licensed games were sometimes (though not always) horrible trash. I don't just mean stuff like Wayne's World either, there were some pretty bad superhero games too. Superman 64 was notoriously bad. I think the main difference between those games, and Kill the Justice League, though is that story wise they usually weren't as horrible as this game is. The stories were usually at least fine if a bit bland. Truthfully, they'd just usually use the story from the movie, animated series or the comic they were based on.

The feat here is not only is the gameplay trash, but even if the gameplay was actually good a lot of people would still hate this game because of its awful story. If Sweet Baby were smart, they should want the games they write their awful stories for to be great games. Then the games would sell well and be popular enough they could do their favorite thing and mock people who were mad about the story and other elements.

I mean if a trans flag is shoehorned into a game, but nobody plays the game, does the trans flag even exist?

Someone keeps datamining unreleased voice lines likely from future seasons, and it's pretty much confirmed the Justice League is alive and is freed of Brainiac's control.

At least as far as Flash and Green Lantern are concerned.

These two were posted on Reddit.

It warms my cold, transphobic and racist heart to see that this game has been utterly and totally raped by the gaming community, both in terms of reviews and: More importantly: In terms of sales.

It’s basically DOA and will likely mean the end of Rocksteady. (Fuck em. There are none of the old guard left anyways.)

Is recording all the shit revealing the League lives, but holding it out for 6+ months down the road one of the dumbest braindead moves a company has ever done in gaming?

I mean, the game is still shit, but holy fuck absolutely nobody should give a shit in 6 months time. And if they do I'll believe this "fix it later" style is truly the future and will be done with games.

Why not just, I don't know, have the original game's plot resolve with you freeing the Justice League from Braniac's control? I know the whole subtitle is killing them, but come on. Was this all supposed to just be some huge narrative rugpull, like someone's going to be sitting on the couch and is utterly blown away by the reveal? I mean, why have you go and do something if the DLC reverses it anyway? Either the player liked that they killed the league and are now upset that what they did was basically pointless, or they're pissed off they killed the league in embarrassing fashion, and they're not going to shell out for whatever story you toss in half a year later.

After watching some people play the game I feel the need to spreg about the game and DC lore as a comic book fan. Prepare for some high quality autism.
  • Lex Luthor would never simp for Wonder Woman. The man hates gods. He hates those that were born with power instead of earning it. It is one of the reasons why he hates Superman so much and he would hate Wonder Woman for the same reason given that she is a literal demigoddess.
  • Batman would never want people to make a Batman Museum. In the animated series he was disgusted with gift shops in Gotham selling Batman merch. The man is private and paranoid as all fuck. He would never do this. Even with his identity out in the open he still wouldn't do that. He is the opposite of Iron Man in that regard.
  • Superman would never be a utter naïve dumbass and welcome Brainiac. He would be very suspicious of him.
  • When a Green Lantern dies their ring either goes back to Oa or seeks another worthy person. You can not take the ring off the owner and wear it. It won't work.
  • Also, how fuck did John Stewart get brainwashed? As a holder of a Green Lantern ring he should have a strong will power. If he went evil and lost his will he should of lost his ring. Speaking of which:
  • How the fuck did Batman get brainwashed? Batman is known as the man with the indomitable will. He should have been the last guy who could be brainwashed.
  • The Suicide Squad would never treat Wonder Wolman with such respect and reverence. It is so stupid that they do.
  • Captain Boomerang would never piss on the Flash.
You can tell that this game was made by people who, not only do not know DC lore, but actively hate DC and its characters with the expectation of Wonder Woman. Dumb. A dumb game for dumb people. No wonder Reddit loves it.
Just to add some minor ones, but these are not 100% set in stone (sometimes even the comics forget those):
  • Mind control does not work on speedsters, Flash can never be brainwashed
  • The green lantern ring can feel the wearer's intent and shut off if it thinks the wearer is compromised
  • Using the green lantern power lethally is forbidden unless explicitly given exceptional permission from the guardians, the ring should have turned off
  • King Shark is shortly mind controlled by the ring, the Green Lantern Ring is one of the rings that does not change the wearer's mind and actively protects them from mind control.
  • Wonder Woman lasso can break mind control and brainwashing, she just need to interrogate them, this happens very shortly with the Flash and is never brought up again.
It feels like the dozens of authors that came before preemptively put safeguards against these hacks trying to create these kind of stories. These hacks just needed to say "fuck it, the Harley Quinn that helped the joker to mutilate children and saw their heads in the wrong bodies, that's our hero now."

The main difference was that those titles were developed by AA studios on the cheap end, typically with very little time or resources. They are a lot more excusable. In many cases developers did try to make a great game but circumstances got in the way.

SS is a game that has been in development for about a decade now under one of the most prolific studios in the industry. They had everything in their favor yet still churned out a game with as much respect as Superman 64, maybe even less. I can respect Superman 64 as it seemed the development team wanted it to be good, but was dealt the worse kind of hand. SS was purely hatred for an IP and a mass waste of 400 million.

Both the old guard and new share the same political opinion.
Yes, but the old guard just created games, he had political opinions that sometimes would reveal themselves, but by the gigantic most part he would have no problems in saying heroes are heroes and villains are villains. If a villains had similar beliefs to them, it would still be a villain.

The new guard is all about deconstruct and corrupt, show their ideology as the better at every turn, go out of their way explicitly to piss off people that they are mad about.

It's not much about political opinion, it's much more about ideological hammering. This can emerge from political opinions, but is the exception, it's only common on kids and teenagers.

So, I did some cursory research, and "Felix" Kramer was indeed involved with Silverstring Media. Silverstring Media also seems to be a consulting firm, similar to Sweet Baby, but they never made it to the big leagues. The only game they worked on that I've heard of is Glitchhikers, the rest is just no-name, uninspired hipster shit. What might be worth mentioning is that I remember that Anita Sarkeesian was tied to Silverstring a few years ago, and the name came up a lot in the #GamerGate-threads on /v/.

The site's a bit busted nowadays, but they have an article on Deepfreeze: https://ggwiki.deepfreeze.it/index.php?title=Silverstring_Media

So yeah, same shit, same people, different year.

Incoming cope where they try to reason:

" See?! This is why the death scenes sucked! It was all planned guys! It wasn't us being incompetent! It was a subtle hint that this wasn't the real League! We're not lazy, you're just fucking stupid! "

You know it's coming.
