Helldivers 2 - Hell is more diverse than ever as PlayStation's demographics continue to grow and change.

Part of what I love about Hell Divers is that it now just constantly being used to shit talk AAA gloyslop developers and their dumbass policies.

There seems to be a lot of that going around this year. Palworld, Enshroud, Grand Blue Relink, and Deep Rock Survivors.
You should expect to hear a lot about that this year with all the mainstays seemingly taking a break. It's time for the 3rd parties and indies that have been cooking to take center stage. Some of these people have years with their beloved IP and an almost clear field to show it on so this shit is gonna be amazing.

People are dumb af but they do learn. When money is tight for a lot of folks the math becomes much easier.

It feels like this era will be the changing of the guard, whit the biggest publishers of yesteryear being garbage and replaced by new up and coming publishers (or older ones that never had their time in the sun)

So yeah, even with the updates coming, Hell Divers 2 backend design was not nearly ready to handle this many people:

Which make sense, since most of the people playing the game are on Steam and this is PlayStation first steps into Day 1 PC release.

The devs probably had no idea the kind of scale they were looking when bring it to the PC. Some problems are that there is no AFK kick timer from the login service and PlayStation users are staying logged in all day just to save a slot.

PS.

Not matter how much money a company will spend on advertising it will be nothing compare to the power of people doing fun, dumb shit.

I heard that mecha suits are coming, is this true?

Also seems my roommate sold his PS5 as he was extremely upset that it didn't have any games he enjoyed. So I guess I have to get Helldivers for PC

Finally got into the tutorial and derped around on it. Definitely don't know whether I'll always chuckle when I throw myself dramatically to the ground but so far that seems to be the case. After that i did a map on my own. Immediately dropped into nest, fighting and kicking my way out to complete the objective rapidly. Had a blast, unloaded guns, then waited for the homies to arrive.
The game is quite different with multiple players. Big difference. DRG levels of coordination and specialization, coupled with the fact that you will kill each other by accident. The mini game of entering codes in for resupply drops and turrets is a great idea. Enforces planning and communication with teammates so that you don't get overwhelmed. My more experienced bud walked us around the map, reminding us to ADD often whenever you see a question mark.
So it has the timer like monster hunter, a bunch of little sidequests on a variety of planets that you can explore. Most solutions to your problems and "eh, fucking blow it up." The guns are chunky, fun, horde shooting things. There's a large variety and the core loop is fucking around with ya mates, ensuring the continued victory of Super Earth.
Yeah sign me up for 100 hours of this. 200 if it's as good as it seems it could be.

What do you think about idea for Arrowhead to make new faction that is a clear parody of Na'vi from avatar?
It could work as a more sneaky, environment-using and primitive faction to the robots, except for the question of "How do they travel in space?"

That said, I can see them only implementing the last of the original three from HD1 to this and not do any more than that.

Perfect for the tone they're going for. Especially if they update the mech designs.

Most PC online games are mere background noise compared to ancient mainstays like Counter-Strike and DOTA 2, and usually, cross-platform games perform markedly worse on PC than on console. Helldivers has rocketed up to the #3 slot, which seems to have caught everyone off guard.

to be fair, no one really plays cod on PC...

It's #10 on Steam right now.

The Illuminates from Helldivers 1 aren't in yet and they're like the Covenant but Fish, and then there's still one direction on the map left to have invaders come from. I assume Illuminates are going to come from the north, so the south is wide open

Assuming that they don't leave narrow strips in the ordinal directions for another set of four enemy types.
