Wow, you got me!
This is a chunk of a private facebook conversation between me and Maddox's girlfriend, who contacted me telling me to "watch out" for Dick, and warned me that he might sic his "goons" on my then girlfriend.
Maddox's GF was always super cool to me, so I assumed she was having a rough night, and I told her what I thought might calm her down -- that Maddox was winning, and that Dick would eventually get tired of doing his show and move onto other projects.
For the record, I'm glad Dick didn't, because his show is fucking amazing. It's my favorite show on the air right now.
I honestly thought wrong about Dick. I assumed that he'd swoop in, smash Maddox, then move onto other projects once he got tired of smashing Maddox.
I'm glad I was wrong.
Whoever this troll is, he got this message from her Twitter account. One night, at like 3am, she posted our private facebook conversation as some kind of "proof" that I was playing both sides. I called Maddox and asked him to tell her to take it down. He did, but he used it as an excuse to tell me I was being a bad friend for continuing to work with Dick. And we've barely spoken since.
Back to the night of the infamous Maddox/Dick breakup. The next day, I told Maddox that I wanted to continue working with both of them. Dick thought this was fine. Maddox didn't. He wanted me to pick sides, like he wanted Tim to, and Ron Babcock, and pretty much everyone else.
And when I refused, he slowly started finding ways to make me the bad guy, like the autist he is.
Here's what an autist does: they form an opinion that makes them feel correct, then scramble for evidence that supports their opinion. And once Maddox had started to turn on me, I kinda knew it was over. Once Maddox chooses an opinion on something, you can't change his mind. There's just too much spaghetti up there.
So that's where we are. I could not be more pissed off at Maddox, or his girlfriend, for posting our private conversations in public. But what are you gonna do.
