Maybe there are concerns about hypothetical Discord drama seeping into Kiwi Farms with Null having no way to properly moderate or deal with it because Discord is its own separate entity. It just makes things more complicated. At least with group DMs still in tact, if something comes up it can be addressed on the site.
Honestly, if he actually pushes towards us running an few "community" Discord servers; someone will eventually attract the attention of the feds and Null has to repeatedly explain to them that he has no control over what happens off-site.

And then he'll just yell at everyone to stop being retards on Discord.

He's stuck between several incredibly gay options, and somehow DMs are the least gay.

I'm fully aware of WHY this rule is in place (I read the shit show of a thread), but I hope there just a little wiggle room for DM's which aren't
I trust the moderators aren't retarded and can see the difference, but I know I've messaged someone before for a little chat, and it wasn't necessarily ""needed"" or expressly ""wanted"" prior to messaging , but I never received a complaint, nor did the guy express any dissatisfaction over the message (he did dm back, and we had a small pleasant chat).
Maybe its pointless me even worrying about this distinguishment, but I think theres a line between DM spamming people with autistic shit and a relevant, pertinent DM which just happened to be unwanted. I just wouldn't want this somehow being turned out to be a tool by autists because they got a DM, and screeched it was "unwanted" despite being a very reasonable DM.

I never had a problem with the random giant DMs. I'd occasionally see I got added to one, look at it a few times, lose interest, and eventually it would get deleted.
But I can definitely see given recent unpleasantness why there might be a need to do something about them.

I think that if people feel they can't talk conversationally on the main off-topic boards, I'm doing something really wrong and I'd like to see how it can be loosened up.
Plus, certain people were actually doxing and (allegedly) fucking) each other
Obviously, you create a new subforum. Call it Sneed's Feed and Seed
