I definitely agree. I think that Nick has taken the typical stimulant abuse arc.
I can understand that, even though I've been convinced he's been abusing heavy stimulants (read: more than just Provigil) for at least the past three months.
But the nose bleed was still surprising to me too.
Cocaine or amphetamines makes you sweat very heavily and skip sleep, which is why I think Nick is looking increasingly like a crack head.
Totally agree that's he's probably feeling sick more and more often.
Nick's surviving on almost exclusively alcohol calories, given his baseline anorexia and the simulant-induced appetite suppression.
Alcohol has no protein, fat, or vitamins...so... Zero nutrition.
Stimulants are very hard on your kidneys and brain, in the same way alcohol is hard on your liver.
Put those two together continuously, and your body will struggle to compensate, and you'll steadily get sicker
I'm pretty certain he feels like shit all the time now.
He's dehydrated at all hell - look at his face (gaunt) or his tounge when he tries to lick Aaron ... His tongue has ridges on the edges, like a pie crust.
Definite sign of dehydration, which is probably secondary to the stimulant abuse.
What I think happened is this...
A few months ago (or whenever it started), Nick got an Adderall prescription for his "narcolepsy" (aka alcoholism). He immediately started combining Adderall with his heavy drinking.
Due to the Adderall effects, he began losing weight faster from the appetite suppression, lack of sleep and metabolic rate increase.
Nick probably liked the euphoria (Adderall is now the #5 most prescribed drug in the U.S.) and started taking more and more of the pills, maybe even starts snorting his Adderall (hence the nosebleeds)
Amphetamines can artificially increase your sex drive, especially risky or compulsive sexual behavior.
Nick perhaps starts hanging out with the "swinger" hot tub couple (Aaron Imholte) in response to this.
They start partying together, trading Balldos, and now maybe Nick has a connect for buying cocaine in addition to his prescribed Provigil and Adderall.
As someone said earlier in the thread, snorting Adderall pills could cause the nosebleeds.
Any prescription pill is like 90% binders and fillers, including micro-crystalline cellulose, which is very sharp and can cause tiny cuts and tears in the nose when snorted regularly.
Nick's nose in the video was dark red all the way up the nostril (very inflamed), and his pupils were the size of dish plates.
So it seems he's snorting Adderall, cocaine, or maybe both.
Given Nick's increasingly unreliable behavior (cancelling streams last minute, acting over animated and hyper, acting in increasingly bizarre ways like the "John" stream)...
I think it's pretty obvious what the recent trajectory has been, and where it's headed. Agree it's pretty grim.
I don't understand how you could do this to your children. Why wouldn't you make an effort to stop your descent?
