I am getting very conflicting reports that I am both good at writing and terrible. I feel like everything I said flows cohesively one point to the next.
The piece was clear and direct, making sense of a long, convoluted mess that I think is poorly understood by most. Other than a couple of nits that aren't particularly substantive and some places I'd cut the editorial, I think it's strong, and I appreciate that the voice stays primarily grounded in facts rather than drifting too far into hyperbole or high emotion, or gossip. I've long thought that a clear recounting of facts and events with a call to individuals to think and consider based on what actually is, more than a firebrand-style rallying cry to the already-convinced, was needed, and I'm glad you wrote it. That's not to say I don't perceive the passion in it; I do. My point is that by giving evidenced facts, staying focused, and tamping down colorful rhetoric, I think it is more effective. (And if you care, I think all of that also operates toward your credibility as someone with a reality-based, and important, point, rather than dismissible as someone acting purely from personal interest or unpalatable or remote politics.).
And on a technical presentation note, the citations/endnotes and screenshots were effectively employed and used well.
I don't think he's an actual sadist, but I do think he's fully internalized the logic of 'this is just me exploring my sexuality and you are a bigot if you resist or find it uncomfortable and need to do better.'
Miscellaneous bits of info I came across.
Nina Chaubal (one of the co-founders of Trans Lifeline) was arrested by ICE in Dec 2016. Greta Gustava (the other co-founder) then started up a GoFundMe campaign to help Nina "seek asylum". Liz Fong-Jones ended up being one of the top donors.
I think this helps show that Liz was friends with Greta & Nina. Just contrast this to how Liz treated his right-hand man, Katherine Lorelei. Liz never bothered to donated to Kat's GoFundMe, even when Kat was on the verge of homelessness. (This is even funnier now that we know Liz is a multi-millionaire...)

You mentioned a bit in the Liz Dong Gone segment where someone says he was invited out to lunch at Club Z, which turned out to be an infamous bath house. Infamous bath house is underselling it a bit and really illustrates how predatory Dong Gone is. I remembered a famous thread from the old Salo forums and there was a section on exactly what Club Z is and it is horrifying.
Salient points from the article on Club Z as they relate to Elliot:
* Women were never allowed on the premises.
* Gay men who went there were hesitant to tell other gay men what went on in there and refused to tell anyone else.
* It closed down in 2006, when Elliott was only 19 and long before he bought a place in Seattle
