Guaranteed they lose the kids from 12-18 months even if they get clean. If they don’t get clean they don’t get the kids back. Nick is a first time offender, he has lots of options to avoid prison if he doesn’t go all ODD and fuck himself over. The judicial system deals with addicts all the time and wants to avoid spending money on prison if rehab and services can fix the issue. Especially if there was no physical harm to anyone.
His presumptive sentence is 48 months suspended as a first-timer on a second degree possession charge. That could change if the prosecution goes for enhancements like having guns or exposing kids, but that 48 months suspended is kind of the baseline. It could also change if new charges are brought based on the ongoing investigation (Like, what IS that brown powder? Narcotics of some kind?)

So unless something new drops, his weekend in county lockup is likely the only jail time he will see.

The child neglect case will track separately and we won't get to see any of that unless some county employee leaks things.

There has been no notice filed by any attorney that she is being represented. Her having conditional bond means that there's only enough money for one of them to go out doing blow and it's not going to be Kayla.
i’m sure that can’t go wrong in any way and won’t lead to more domestic incidents

Its all up to him. The system will try hard to get him to agree to a rehab-based program rather than sending him to prison. But he has to agree. If he acts like a complete, unrepentant drug-fueled asshole and refuses to cooperate. Forces them to put him through a jury trial all the way to a verdict - then it becomes a whole lot more likely that they will send him to prison effectively for being a total fool.

You don't fight a case like this. No sane person fights a case like this. You cooperate. You make a deal. You do a program. You avoid prison.

But if Nick tries to fight this in court, the system as a whole could just get so totally pissed at him that they flush him away to prison for 3-5 years. Its especially likely if he does some kind of stupid political challenge in court during his trial.

Nick has already told them to go fuck themselves in about six different ways including the unconditional release which is a message to the prosecutors that he is NOT going to stop doing hard drugs.

I've seen deals offered to people even after conviction in a trial. But at this point, Nick seems like he is almost determined to be made an example of and do a prison term.
He just really wants to be forced into a situation where he has to have sex with black men; that way, he can say it wasn't his choice.

I kinda got the impression from the warrant that Imholte was the one who narc'd on Nick. But if what Legal Mindset is accurate, it sounds like whatever he told the police was different from what he's been spewing on multiple live streams over the past few days. Either that or Nick and Kayla are hoping to throw him under the bus in exchange for a little leniency.

Let this be a lesson, NEVER talk to the police without a lawyer securing you an immunity deal. This is especially true if you might've been involved in some criminal shit. This is something that hentai-loving epileptic journo Kurt Eichenwald knew and he funded a literal child porn ring. Two things you don't want to be in prison is a snitch and a pedo and it sure as shit looks like there's some snitching going on here.

If this message is real, Nick is a fucking idiot. He's basically admitting that he's using the smokeless gunpowder to make brown brown, because why else would there be spent .22 shell casings in his room?

Nick is not so absurdly rich to have $100k in cash sitting around. People with more money than Nick, at least those good with it, will tend to have to it making money for them, even the cash they would like to have readily available. A reasonable five figure saving for immediate use, a money market account to draw more from, a variety of CDs that mature at different times to be used if necessary, investments they can more easily liquidate, etc. Rich people have assets and some cash on hand, not a Scrooge McDuck money vault in their checking account.
Nick had all of his cash liquidity invested in cocaine. He can’t bail his wife out unless the cops let him sell some of his retirement Coke.

That really depends on whether it's really "spent" vs. "empty", which will be really easy to verify based on the residue in the casing. I still think it's a red herring though, it's so easy to have spent casings unaccounted for even with modest shooting.

I've got spent shell cases in my car, my backpack, some of the pockets I wear to my range, my gun room. Never even seen hard drugs in my life. Not defending Nick but at least where I live it's not all that weird to have some brass laying around.

Aaron forgot it is 3 against 1. He should have kept his mouth shut.

Did Aaron pull a large sum of money out of bank? Is Nick about to pin the coke purchase on Aaron? Nick may have actually used some brains. Let's say Nick can prove that no large sums of money is missing from any of his accounts, but Aaron's account shows a large chunk gone. Nick would be a person I suspect would pull cash back when at stores to hide the large sum from coming out.

Child endangerment could be why, also.
I'm pretty sure I've heard Aaron say/emphasise that he and April never paid for any of the drugs, it was always provided gratis (proper freeloader if true, lol). Whether that's true or not? Not sure. Maybe he's saying that under advice of his lawyer?

He also had to pledge some asset--most likely his house to secure the $50,000 ABB put up. If his bail is revoked, ABB loses the $50,000 they put up and comes after Balldo for it.
Nah, United States Fire Insurance Company is the bonding company's surety. ABB doesn't actually put up $50k, they just sign an IOU. The surety backs up those IOUs in the event a defendant goes AWOL, the bond is forfeited, and the bonding company can't come up with the money. The surety would pay the court and collect from the bondsman.

I agree that seeing one of the Nick's children asking for clean clothes would be heartbreaking, and would change a lot of the public opinion. But is there a real chance that we will see it?
From what AnOminous said, they will probably cut all the children part of the bodycam footage, right?
Late but It's likely they black out the footage but keep the audio

Aaron has got so annoying and his show is complete shit. He isn’t funny and he’s just some weird 40 something year old man latching on to someone more famous than him and selling him out the moment it might benefit him. He says he cared about the Rekieta kids but spent multiple days talking about their horrible conditions and them starving but not telling the police or CPS. If Aaron was a smart man he would’ve got an attorney and negotiated a deal to tell the police about him and rekeitas activities in return for immunity.

Wasn't there something from either Aaron or April about one or both of them firing guns with the Rekeitas? That would be more recent than five years.

Anybody with a decent grasp of the law give the over/under on Nick going to prison? My instinct is he's a favourite to either dodge prison or get the equivalent of a "suspended" sentence (probation?). If he dodges prison, what's the over/under on him and Kayla losing custody over the kids?
I personally think he will go to prison due to his vindictive, spiteful, and narcissistic behavior that's the core of his personality. I think a sober nick who hasn't had his brain turned to swiss cheese might have been able to recognize his only way out was to be contrite and accept responsibility for what he's done. Go to rehab, make amends, stop streaming and fix his life.

But this is cokieta now. Drunkieta. I have unwavering faith in his ability to fight this to hell and pick the most stupid, shortsighted, and vindictive method to do so.

And similar faith to it all blowing up in his face.
