I have to disagree. If he'd fell into drugs at a young age because of trauma and been a lifelong junkie then, finally seeing the error of his ways, decided to get clean for the sake of his kids, I'd say give him a shot. But he's done it backwards.

The kids were in a million different activities constantly. So let me ask you - What the hell was she supposed to do all day? They outsourced her entire SAH role. Calling Nick the the useful parent is a bit of an exaggeration considering he has spent god knows how long in a drunken stupor. Alcohol is by far one of the worst drugs when taken to excess. Its only legal because of tradition because humans have been fermenting things since we discovered how to make bread, if it was discovered tommorow it would be the same schedule as heroin and meth.
