Weight loss support thread

Lost another two pounds so that’s six overall. I’m getting somewhere, I guess. surprisingly, I haven’t craved anything sweet so far. I did buy dark chocolate (85% cocoa) and had one square, it tasted like crap,
This surprised me as well but what I've found are there are two kinds of sugar craving. The bad one is the wild blood-sugar swing induced ones and they last for the first few days. They're hard to deal with and you just have to soldier through them. They're your body being actually out of balance and wobbling all over the place. Refined sugar is just a continuous over-correction that protracts the wobbling.

After that, what is left is just psychological habit and ordinary hunger that can be satisfied by normal healthy meals. Get that far and you basically just have to apply steady good habits. Which isn't easy but it's the difference between flying a plane in calm skies and during bad turbulence.

don't drink diet soda, that shit's just as bad for you as regular soda:

if you need a healthy beverage besides water, stick with the following:
  • coffee
  • skim milk
  • apple juice (raw or from concentrate, no added sugar)
Coffee isn't a healthy beverage. It will create a caffeine dependence if you drink it often. Caffeine free teas are a good alternative and you can get a lot of variety on your drinks without much calories. Using them as a primary drink with milk and fruit juices in moderation gets you the best of both worlds.

That's how it starts. First it's one can of diet Coke. Then it's regular Coke. Soon enough it's coke. Within a year your kids are taken by the state and people are making "The Rise and Fall Of" style Youtube documentaries about you.
Jokes aside, I personally have had more success just going Cold Turkey on unhealthy things I want to quit on than slow reduction. It's just a simpler rule with less capacity to bend it. And if I know something is bad for me, then the goal IS to eliminate it. I only drink water and I prefer it.

For the sake of honesty, Tuesday and Wednesday I had 1600 calories because 1000 wasn't enough while working my particular shift
However I have been averaging 1 pound of weight (water and fat before anyone bitches at me) loss per day.

I went to see my doctor today for something irrelevant to this but asked her to weigh me. I've lost 9 pounds since she weighed me last a few months back, so she's happy. I don't think she believed me when I told her I've been on a diet and have actually lost weight. I've been stuck at the 200 pounds mark for years.

Fuck off with the fruit juices as a" healthy alternative". This isn't instagram. Nobody's gonna take up your turbo-diabetes and tooth rot fruit juice suggestions.

Let these folks enjoy their fucking coffee. They have bigger problems than perhaps developing a perfectly manageable coffee habit.

Don't go full retard on these folks; they seem to be actually trying.

A glass of fruit juice occasionally really helps with vitamins. Coffee offers no advantages at all.

There are vitamins in potato chips and chocolate bars too. You can't be this retarded. Stop it. You are not helping these folks.
You're recommending people get addicted to caffeine so they feel like shit if they don't constantly put it in their body. Which is not good for any one. You're the retarded one here, not the person saying having an occasional glass of fruit juice isn't causing a problem.

Today marks the day that I'm no longer at an "overweight" BMI, for all that metric's worth, and soon I'll hit the -50lbs mark. Weight loss has always been difficult because the majority of my fat is in my torso and lower back. There's also moderate gyno as determined by a doctor, so that's not going away for another 25lbs. Most people my height may look pretty good at this point, but my genetics kind of screwed me. At the same time, it's more motivation to hit my goal weight.

Though some of that might come off as cynical, it doesn't compare to the sense of pride I feel. Nor does it to my thankfulness for the users in this thread who are in this with me. If your plan is working for you, and you feel good, trust it. Don't let a Little Debbie cake steal that from you.

It only took me one day of dieting to completely eliminate cravings. When I feel hungry, I actually am :medallion:
I'm only 4 days in and it feels like caffeine would be harder to kick than excess calories at this point
I've replaced Diet Coke with 0 sugar Vitaminwater (for the most part)
Tomorrow will be the start of the Weekend Walks™️. 8 miles walked every Saturday and Sunday. I just hope my legs don't feel too destroyed.

Im back on a diet, gained a bit of weight and recently had a heart scare so its time to get down below 200 again, starting from 240. Switched all my carbs to whole wheat and doing nothing but turkey and chicken. Already down 11 and its stuck for a week so I think I am doing ok.

I will say this kiwi bros, dont let that heart scare happen to you. Fucking terrifying, make changes before it happens!

I lost my fat through more intense experiences, since January this year from 85 kgpp to Janupary to 77 kg today, I've done following
One pmeal a day
Heat training for hours, start sweating which burns through fat reserves and lose water weight
No Sweets or unnecessary snacks
Avoid triglycerides like coconut oil, avoid sweeteners and non saturated fats.
Keep in mind if you start body building and growing muscle. Muscle tissue is denser and heavier than stored fat cell.

There is healthy types of weight, I made it so can you!

I'm not going to sperg about chemistry and anatomy specifics unless someone wants to know

Get fit, bros, I believe in you!

Bumping to record for posterity that I now have a good lighting in the morning 4 pack. Have for at least a couple weeks now. Yesterday, after having been doing weighted leg raises for at least a month now or more, I thought maybe I saw the tiniest indication of a sixer poking through. Its in good lighting and when I look my best (just waking up and taking a shit) but still its maybe the fittest I've ever been and a real motivator to keep going.

Eating very clean. If I didn't make it myself, I'm not eating it. Trying not to drink too many calories. Can't remember the last time I drank a beer. Been very consistently hitting the gym 2x a week and lifts are consistently getting better by a rep or three every time. 3x a week of bjj.

Plan going forward is to really just stay the course. Start growing shrooms in an all in one bag so me and my friends can microdose in the park over the late summer and can hopefully replace drinking nearly entirely. Bump up bjj to 5x a week with midday classes, hopefully those are more chill than the after work white belt spazz attacks and I can burn more fat off more gradually and learn more at the same time.

Thanks for bothering to read this and if you're working on yourself, keep doing it. It will pay off, somehow.

I’m not sure if this is the right thread, I just saw it come up under the new posts tab and it seemed like the place to ask. Does anyone know what’s going on with Cole the snake juice guy? I became aware of him after seeing an anon on 4chan talking about fasting and looking into the /fit/ thread about it back around 2018. He popped into my head last week for some reason, so I checked out his channel and I don’t even know what’s going on with him. He seemingly jumps from shilling one diet to another like a schizophrenic, a few years ago it was fasting, then it was keto, then it was him straight up eating butter, now he’s on a sugar diet.

Here’s a video of him sitting in his car eating Jam directly from the jar while raving about the benefits of sugar

Is he just elaborately trolling fat people?

lost another two pounds since I weighed last! I was worried I wouldn’t keep up losing 2/3 pounds in a week but I have so far.

I honestly didn’t expect myself to stick to it as well as I have, I did drink dry white wine like two weeks ago and probably drank more than I should have but I’m still losing weight regardless.

Finally got my birth control removed, so many complications caused by it and I never needed it in the first place.
Can't weight for my appetite to die down completely. It's already went down enough to where I've gotten really good at ignoring it, while also not binging from undereating, by listening to my actual hunger cues and not simply eating when bored.

But still, the fact I feel that hunger (despite just finishing a meal) is so annoying. Almost down to a normal weight, lost nearly 10 pounds. Been exercising consistently. Granted, I'm not obese but I just hate being a skinnyfat. I don't care if it goes to the "right areas", it feels gross and I can't wait to get leaner. I'm thankfully pretty muscular as if, I think that's the main reason I'm so excited to keep losing weight. It's crazy how many people dismiss being a skinnyfat as if it's not a problem. My diet sucked beforehand. The only reason I wasn't obese was because I'm an energetic person. Whenever I became sedentary, the pounds would start packing on.
