I'd like to know the same for Nick's recent Locals streams. Keeping up the thread Highlights, I only caught the archive of his first 90-minute stream, but haven't seen the driving one and the one shortly after that.

It is not hard, but you need a subscription and the storage space. I use CoCoNut Chrome extension. I typically only pull the archive videos he is likely to delete, and he has not deleted that many.

But on that topic of kids/activities,

Some of us in the thread have confiemed part of the activity schedule (no we will not doxx children), and the children are engaging in 3-4 syles and sessions of dance classes on a single day, twice a week. The music lessons are similar, and there are often long breaks of 45-90 minutes between classes them over a 3-5 hour total span.

That schedule is INSANE. My parent never let my activities run so long or large in number. Nick and Kayla make the schedules, and they could clamp down, so this is self-inflicted.

This was what I've seen with fundamentalists. No idea if the hippie dippie gay churches do the same but I wouldn't be surprised.

To that end though I don't fully begrudge Nick not wanting to be involved with church, but his reasons were entirely different so I couldn't say I'm on his side at all.

I don’t think Nick ever really was a Christian. His background was Catholic, both of his parents came from very Catholic families involved in their religious and secular communities from what I’ve read doing dives into their history. I don’t know when he left the Church, but I’m guessing college when his dorm was an EverQuest/ goon cave. Nick went from Catholic to Lutheran to non-denominational that branched from Lutheran to “heretical” in public.

I think Nick has always known how to manipulate family by presenting himself as something he’s not. It’s why he lived in Minnesota, both sides of his family live in Texas and his childhood family was in MN due to his father’s work. The distance helps with this. Another thing is that prior to the Appeal Stream/ CokeStream, he had a cope session where he outlined that he became a lawyer because his Grandfather admired his lawyer Uncle, who was like a father to his Grandfather.

If they're trying to sway opinions by plotting gay shit in a discord server, then let me just state it right now that it won't work.

I didn't think I could think less of him before the arrest, simply knowing he drove drunk with children with him was enough. But then after the arrest reveal, seeing his behavior and actions afterwards painted a very clear picture of where his children sit in his priorities.

Most people I've known that are heavily into church either were raised in it (as in not given another option) or grew up with no family and use the church to serve that purpose. I like the idea of having a close community outside of family but the members themselves I have always found to use lovebombing techniques and pressure to conform in every tiny, inconsequential way. There's a lot of pressure to attend every little get-together, overshare, etc. I'm sure there are great communities in some churches but going through dozens and spending months at each just to sus out the dynamic is just more than most normal people can be expected to do.

Sad, because it closes off Christianity to people who would be faithful to the ideology but not want to deal with the high school pettiness. It generally just invites vulnerable/unwell people.
