The Minnesota license suspension law is:

- 30 days for 3 violations in a year. They have to be misdemeanor or gross misdemeanor offenses.
- 90 days for 4 violations in a year.
- 1 year for 5 violations in a year.

Petty misdemanors can also lead to suspensions if you get enough of them:

  1. 30 days if you have 4 convictions within a 12-month period;
  2. 30 days if you have 5 convictions within a 24-month period;
  3. 90 days if you have 5 convictions within a 12-month period;
  4. 90 days if you have 6 convictions within a 24-month period;
  5. 180 days if you have 7 convictions within a 24-month period; and
  6. 1-year if you have 8 or more convictions within a 24-month period.
New poll time for when will Nick lose his driver’s license

Translation to me is that he was going westbound on I-94 in the left lane and crossed Hwy 15. This is just south of St. Cloud. He MAY have been going to Aaron's neighborhood (highlighted in yellow) but if he was going there I would have guessed he would take Hwy 15? Not sure where he was going.

One of the ways to get from Minneapolis to Spicer is via I-94 and 23. The turnoff to 23 isn't that far beyond 15.

The I-94 route is the fastest driving route if you intended not to follow speed limits.

Maybe he lied about modafinil acting like cocaine, and exaggerated his statement to make himself look cool. Modafinil can be obtained in legal way, it's cheaper and it's gotta be far less risky to take health-wise, since illegal drugs can be cut with some other bullshit, so if it really worked the same way for him (how did Nick know about how cocaine affects him back in 2022 btw lol), it would be really silly to switch to illegal drugs.
I don't think his dalliances with drugs were as new as he claimed. Claiming bullshit lies like "narcolepsy" to get drugs seems to have been in his playbook for a long time.

They could have towed Nick's car for the expired tabs/no insurance info/no DL, but for whatever reason he got soft treatment and they allowed him to drive home. If there was another person in the car with him with a DL, that could explain why he wasn't towed.
Will MN suspend him for driving without insurance? Many states will.

I regret to inform you all that in a stroke of genius, Nicholas Rekieta got convicted of ANOTHER four traffic violations today
View attachment 6096381
He failed to appear and contest it, and also got issued two more fines for not paying the original one. Case number 73-VB-24-3399. This appears in the same county as the last conviction but in other county than the rest
I have a question for the legally minded Kiwis. This definitely isn't helping his current cases is it? It clearly shows an unwillingness to take accountability for his own actions, it makes him seem like he thinks that he's above the law and he shows a clear hatred and disregard towards laws and authorities.
Is there any chance that the judge might decide to throw the book at him and give him a long sentence over this?

You'd think that this dumb fuck, facing felony charges, would want to demonstrate his law abiding nature and not keep racking up more shit showing he's a scofflaw piece of garbage. But not Nick "Joker" Rekieta. He's just going to flip off the court with both hands until the trial apparently.

As far as I know, he was driving without proof of insurance. But had insurance.

Its normally a fine. And the offense is usually cleaned up by presenting proof of insurance later. You could possibly get into real trouble if you ignored a ticket for not having proof of insurance and let it turn into a conviction.

Speeding tickets - who cares. Unless he was speeding at a residential area or near a school or something, it's no big deal.
Hard disagree. Car accidents happen everywhere, it's not just limited to neighborhoods and school zones. Speed limits exist for a reason. There is zero reason to do 90 MPH on a highway or interstate where the average speed limit is 70. It's not the Autobahn.

Most likely Nick will refuse to do field test or do a breathalyzer, get taken to a station, and demand a lawyer who takes his sweet time to get to his client letting Nick sober up enough before the machine test
Minnesota is an implied consent state and refusal to consent is itself a crime, so his bail would probably immediately be revoked if he did.

Subd. 2.Breath test advisory. At the time a breath test is requested, the person must be informed:
(1) that Minnesota law requires the person to take a test:

(i) to determine if the person is under the influence of alcohol; and

(ii) if the motor vehicle was a commercial motor vehicle, to determine the presence of alcohol;

(2) that refusal to submit to a breath test is a crime; and

(3) that the person has the right to consult with an attorney, but that this right is limited to the extent that it cannot unreasonably delay administration of the test.

MN Stat § 169A.50-53 is the full law. So he can't do that unless he wants to be convicted of a crime, lose his license for a year automatically, and probably go right back to jail to await trial, or at the very least have his bail raised.
And in MN it takes a lot to get your license revoked. It's common for people with multiple DWIs to still have them, but they will have "whisky plates" (license plate starting with W) and have their travel restricted. He's not losing it over speeding tickets.
They revoke your license instantly on the spot if you refuse a test:
Subd. 7.Test refusal; driving privilege lost. (a) On behalf of the commissioner, a peace officer requiring a test or directing the administration of a chemical test shall serve immediate notice of intention to revoke and of revocation on a person who refuses to permit a test or on a person who submits to a test the results of which indicate an alcohol concentration of 0.08 or more.
(b) On behalf of the commissioner, a peace officer requiring a test or directing the administration of a chemical test of a person driving, operating, or in physical control of a commercial motor vehicle shall serve immediate notice of intention to disqualify and of disqualification on a person who refuses to permit a test, or on a person who submits to a test the results of which indicate an alcohol concentration of 0.04 or more.

(c) The officer shall:

(1) invalidate the person's driver's license or permit card by clipping the upper corner of the card in such a way that no identifying information including the photo is destroyed, and immediately return the card to the person;

(2) issue the person a temporary license effective for only seven days; and

(3) send the notification of this action to the commissioner along with the certificate required by subdivision 3 or 4.
Note that a refusal gets an automatic one year revocation. A positive test can still turn into a deferred adjudication where you ultimately keep your license. If you refuse, though, you might not get convicted of the DWI, but it's a separate criminal offense.

No. The citation says "EXPIRED INSRUANCE 7/23 DISPLAYED TABS"
In other words his insurance had expired and his registration also expired in July of last year.

Will MN suspend him for driving without insurance? Many states will.
I BELIEVE (not 100% sure) that that only happens if he was convicted of the misdemeanor, but at least in the two counties he's been stopped in, they have a policy to drop the misdemeanors to petty misdemeanors/traffic tickets.

That means it's just the fine. This one is pretty hefty too - $509 plus the traditional $30 in late fees.

One issue is that according to Aaron, the source of the drugs was Minneapolis. It's interesting to ponder whether the reason he was so cagey and aggressive in this stop (unlike the other ones) is because there was a big pile of something in his car.

Suspiciously, the March 23 traffic stop is right during a 19-minute hole in the radio archives, which are usually complete. I wonder if something more spicy happened then.
The newest ticket from April 6 sounds like it might be interesting, if anything about Rekieta weaving between lines, refusing to roll down his window, or screeching "YOU ARE ABSOLUTELY BULLSHIT LYING FUCK OFF" is mentioned.

I wonder if it's a strain on them to be taking care of the kids right now. That's a lot of mouths to feed. I assume they may need some new clothes? I don't recall hearing about whether they got to take any belongings from the Rekieta house, or if that's typical in situations where kids are placed in temporary (or not so temporary, maybe) guardianship. I'm even more curious if Nick's family has stepped in to help.
My assumption is that Rackets parents are helping out either in-person or at least sending them money. I don't know if they were ever close, but the Sletta/Rekieta families did go on some trips together with Rackets/Kayla/Kids per FB, so they have some kind of relationship.

I can't prove it conclusively, but I have circumstantial evidence / intuition that Bob and Celeste maintain a residence near Nick and Kayla. They were also in town when the arrests went down (I think?). It's possible that they are with the Rekieta père in Minnesota.
Bob/Celeste do own a lake house in Wilmar.... It was believed at one time in this thread (maybe 4000 pages ago or so) that they probably summered in MN and then wintered in FL. It makes sense and is something that many wealthy people do. This is that tax info:

As of now, we're up to April 6th in terms of his traffic stops.

Does anybody wanna take bets as to how many more occurred between now and his arrest in late May?

I agree, all the previous traffic stops sounded unremarkable, but this one sounds like he was a mite pissed off.

I hear you.

I’d also add that if you want a child to be happy, the first step to achieving that is ensuring his mother is happy. It’s the nature of kids to assume any disquiet in parents is their fault, and that is especially true when it comes to their mother.

I hope she finds her redemption arc and a place of security, if only for the sake of those five kids, who’ve already been through far too much in their young lives.

Kayla probably feels like she’s too old to start over, but the fact is she is still young enough to move past her disastrous starter marriage and settle down with some non-degenerate. A single mom of five doesn’t have wide appeal outside the pedophile market, but she only has to find one guy willing to take them all on (and she'll no doubt get healthy child support). It happens every day.

The funniest outcome would be if she found the true love of her life but didn’t marry him until the youngest turns 18, so as not to lose her alimony payments. Get fucked, Nick.
Cue the "Flowers In the Attic" story arc.

Alot of minnesotans here do that and do it this way in trusts or LLCs for tax sheltering in retirement.

Usually just speeding tickets aren't going to get you fucked, or even come up at all, but his behavior has also been relatively outrageous, blowing off court dates, yelling obscenities at cops, and generally acting like wigger trailer trash. If he was actually driving without insurance and not just without the card, that's an actual crime. That could get bail revoked.

Technically, just not having proof of insurance is a crime but one that they usually let slide if you later provide it. Nick doesn't seem to have done this because he's a coked up fucking retard.
I agree, all the previous traffic stops sounded unremarkable, but this one sounds like he was a mite pissed off.
What is even going on in Minnesota that this didn't get him a field sobriety test? That's how someone blasted out of their gourd acts.

How many times can you get charged with traffic violations and no-show the court dates before your license is just suspended? It seems like Nick is getting every break possible, with police never questioning him further despite likely being under the influence during these stops.

5 ticket violations in 24 months here in Minnesota and your shit is pulled by the Public Safety Department in the Cities for anywhere between 30 to 90 days depending what you did.
I know personally, and talking to those people trying to get a work exemption is a bitch they do not want to work with yyou when your license is suspended sucks.

MN is not driver friendly, the cops do actively work here to get tickets because they get like 10%-15% of every tickets total fine amount, and the behavior is supported by the states Police Union.

They called their polycule the "qover" (pronounced cover),
Some other bits:
- Aaron saw the cocaine stash when it came in and it looked a lot bigger than 26g to him
- two women have contacted Keanu about their experiences with Nick
- one of them may come on the show, little more vetting needed
- Aaron has given up on the idea that there was ever anything between him and Kayla
- Kayla wanted to start a relationship with a guy she knew from a Star Trek game she was playing on her phone, but Nick vetoed it
- April and Kayla were competing for Nick's attention: who gets to ride in the Mustang, who gets to sit in the corner chair
- Another Nick sighting from a viewer, this time with Kayla
