Well, how do you think the 8 year old managed to test positive!?At the very least they should have been able to sniff the drugs out.

Why spend all that time and effort going to church then? I know Nick is an egotistical, immature cokehead, so many things he does make no sense. But this makes no sense. Did he need the church to be the "village" for his kids? Was church super important to Kayla (didn't seem like it)? Was it something to do with the trust fund?
That house is peak mid-90s aesthetic. Light oak is a crime against humanity. You can tell the previous owners were Boomers.Case in point for their dated tackiness. Skimpy trim and baseboards, glass block, cheap option for island top
Sane here. I had friends who had dads that drank quite a bit, but never came across drug addicts in a way I could identify.I'm a very grown person, and until I had some specific experiences (as an adult, and not even a young adult), I had zero ability to spot functional or even unfunctional addiction
I'll go to bat for dark stained oak with a poly finish, but nobody is insane enough to use it as cabinet furniture. You missed out on the worst part of the wood fixtures. In some parts of the house their cabinet finishes grain is a mixture of pine and oak. Apparently just using oil poly makes them look the same(to the visually impaired)Case in point for their dated tackiness. Skimpy trim and baseboards, glass block, cheap option for island top (tile with wood surround rather than stone), mismatched interior doors, mismatched doors/trim, etched glass on the front door/side lights, "fancy" darker wood in the master bath, that kickboard on the master bath door, random rosettes, fucking oak. Straight out MN 1989. Literally no one with real money (much less big money) who has updated since 2000 has this.
Wood ceiling on the outdoor space is nice, though.
This is true of many previously-owned houses. Most, in fact. You can tell the previous owners were Boomers.

He was trying to maintain the most retarded approach to scheduling a person with WFH flexibility could have chosen: Start “working” at midnight, stay up till 5:30 getting wasted, crash for 90 minutes, get up to drive his oldest to school, then stay awake and start the whole cycle again at midnight. Maybe he took a short nap here or there, but to hear him tell it, he was too busy driving to get anything done ever.
I could see him thinking cocaine was the pick-me-up he needed to handle his particular brand of low IQ time management. Obviously it never crossed his mind to sort his shit out and live like a sane human being.
kind of has the same aura to it already. What this forum really needs is the Rage Rackets emoticon, it's just so comically perfect.

Divorce would absolutely be the right choice.I do not advise for divorce as a principle
I can see Nick going for two reasons:I can't see Nick going for any other reason that because of Kayla requiring he go.
lol it's probably nick's strat in the first place. throw kayla under the bus mid trial so everyone in town turns against him so that he has no choice but to move...to LA.They enabled each other and are really very alike. I do not advise for divorce as a principle, but if the dynamic is anything like what I expect, they need some serious intervention or to be separated from each other until they can stop feeding the negative parts of their own desires.
This feels like a curse. Are you implying that this is a cycle of some sorts? Does it seek new hosts? I don't know why, but it honestly feels like you've unleashed something dark and terrible.
If you live in a small, midwestern town where your extended family also live and they happen to be very religious and all part of the same church community, there will be a lot of pressure from that family for you to also belong to that same church. It's more common now for people to be individualistic, to break away from churches, and then to go church shopping, but in small town America the tradition of belonging to a particular church and to a particular church community is still important to a lot of families.I can see Nick going for two reasons:
Keep an eye on Kayla's interactions with her incel prude family.
How can he deprogram the kids if he doesn't know what was said?
Do you think that's why Ralph had the gay rap going? Like, he's putting out a mating signal?I wonder if it's settling in for Nick just how much he fucked up with that Pillstream interview. He gave up a world of a happy family and tons of easy money so that he could spend his time with the likes of Ethan Ralph drugged out of his mind, Juju the Cow or Vito the Pedo. This is now his only sphere of influence, may he enjoy irrelevancy.
I'm still thinking he might just straight up bail and flee the country like the hog, if for no other reason than to get in on the cheap drugs and alcohol.
Forgive me for I know not what I doThis feels like a curse. Are you implying that this is a cycle of some sorts? Does it seek new hosts? I don't know why, but it honestly feels like you've unleashed something dark and terrible.
In four years time, if Josh gets in a polyamorous relationship, we will know who to blame.

I wonder if Kayla was allowed to leave the house on her own? Maybe that's why Nick drove the kids everywhere.
Divorce would only be a stopgap solution to the problem. While it's clear that they both have a hand in enabling each other, the issues stem much deeper into who they are as people.Divorce would absolutely be the right choice.
Which is why they won't do it.
They'll stay together forever and Bonnie and Clyde themselves into one drug-fueled legal disaster after another.
I assume so, though she doesn't have all of the speeding tickets the rest of the Balldo Crewe does to prove it. The oldest son wanted Kayla to teach him how to drive on his Learner's Permit, which requires a licensed driver riding shotgun.Does she even have a drivers license?
So this clown show went down near the area I grew up in. I have friends/family who know this family.
First off, nobody in west central MN gives 2 shits about this guy or this case except for the fact kids are involved. It made the local news for a day or two then on to the next barn fire or avian flu turkey flock outbreak.
The open secret is the New London/Spicer/Green Lake area has a wealthy swinger/party crowd and behavior/downfalls like this happen all the time. This one is just in the news due to internet stardom.
"Aint no party like a green lake party cuz green lake bitches have coke." The shit that goes down around Green would make this story seem lame.
He bought the $110k lincoln navigator for her. Previously she had a minivan. He drove a Ford Fusion.Does she even have a drivers license?
