What were the Bideniggers hoping to get out of the debate in the first place? Did they believe there was a scenario where Biden wouldn't come off as Biden? This is sitcom-level politics

They wanted Trump to refuse because of the bullshit conditions or be belligerent. Instead he played them well enough and let Biden hang himself.

A single 90 minute debate was the best option they had.

They also were able to set the debate conditions heavily in Biden's favor; they pushed it earlier than ever before to add some protection in case it was a loss so people would forget about it, they had CNN moderators, no audience, microphones turned off to avoid interruptions, Biden had an ear piece all night, Biden had written notes (against the rules) to pull from all night. The only thing Trump didn't agree to was to let Biden sit in a chair. You can see why they'd think it was a good idea to send him out there, they had it as rigged in his favor as humanly possible. All he had to do was show up, spout some rehearsed lines, and they'd have a win they could coast on for months.

The bigger issue is that Trump knew they were rehearsing all the questions, so he took them slightly off topic to fuck up all of that programming. Even the average DNC robot could somewhat recover with some bluster, but Biden's brain is tapioca and he couldn't quite piece together what to say. You could see it on stage.

I think Biden will do the next debate

I've always wanted to see Donald Trump debate Jill Biden.

It probably really helps when he needs to stay on task and read a prompter, but not when he has to give decent answers to questions. That requires recall and an ability to comprehend your current situation in relationship to what has happened recently.

It also doesn't help when your opponent is nudging the question off topic enough to fuck up a week of a lot of programming.

If the DNC is hiring any strategists, I'm available. I'm not qualified, but I'm also not half as retarded as the qualified people they do hire.

There's a reason I'm a monarchist. Monarchy make way more sense if you're skeptical of government. One person to kill instead of hundreds.

I'm more and more of a constitutional monarchist because a republic cannot plan past the next election and a country needs a longterm vision guided by a visible head of state. I'm in the camp that thinks that they thought Trump would back off. They set up the debate after challenging Trump, make the conditions to it so clearly lopsided Trump decides to back out, then use that to claim he is a coward and hit his respect. Its not... a bad plan? And I can see how they got there. But it backfired horribly when Trump decided to stay in and they were locked in to it too.

Realization: Trump can back out of the 2nd debate now and the "he's too scared to debate Biden" line would completely fall flat. And Trump can do so in a number of ways.

"I feel the United States people saw all they needed to see on the stage last time."

"I will not be a part of this farce anymore."

"Everyone knows our stances on everything, lets have our new 47th Vice President and Kamala debate, I feel that would be more informative."

Trump has nothing to gain from the 2nd debate. But Biden HAS to use it to recover.

The Biden campaign's frantic "the money can't go to another candidate" excuse-making has led to people calling to not donate to the campaign or any PACs until he's off the ticket.

That... is an amazing thing to think about. And it makes perfect sense. If you think Biden isn't going to survive to November, but you also are hearing if you donate money to him it doesn't go to his replacement, well, that's a good time to immediately stop until said replacement is picked.

Saw the claim that politicians opposed to "woke" think education beyond kindergarten level is "woke" -- pretty sure that's a SJW lie. Also being opposed to "woke" in higher education isn't opposition to higher education, as SJWs claim "wrongthinkers" "alt-right" are.

In the entire history of the Department of Education no observable metric of the American educational system has ever improved. The entire thing exists to subvert the raising of children and help prop up a marxist labor union that protects batshit insane cat ladies who are, statistically speaking, vastly more likely than the average person to be an offending pedophile. And their victims are required to be in their presence by law.

Last night I shocked my (fairly normie, not particularly political because he thinks they're all crooks) husband by saying that I was in favor of dismantling the federal Department of Education. Then I told him the federal DoE only funds 8% of birth-age 18 education, and showed him the FY 24-25 budget for the US DoE. It's all bullshit. The few non-bullshit aspects could easily be folded into other departments (similar to how to eliminate the Department of Homeland Security). The whole thing all the way down, all their spending on elementary/secondary ed is:

1. Programs to make preschool more universal, which is worse than useless and actually harmful in the biggest studies ever done
2. Special ed programs that have not been proven to lead to any better outcomes for special ed kids in terms of independence or life skills
3. "Migrant education" and assorted English Language Learning programs for students who shouldn't be here in the first place
4. "Enrichment" programs for specific groups or underserved schools, almost all of which are wastes of money
5. DEI programming (also includes #3 and #4)
6. Rural education grants since rural people can't come up with as much in property taxes (probably worth saving, can be done by the USDA)
7. Indian education (should be folded into BIA)

The overwhelming majority of federal dollars in education are put toward programs with no proven validity in enhancing student metrics. The money isn't going toward educating the kids who will one day be productive citizens paying taxes. It's going to negative utility monsters, students who are black holes you can throw an infinite amount of money into hoping for some improvement that will always remain out of reach because genetics is a full-on "you can't beat city hall" for education.

They wanted footage of him raging with no audio so they could laugh at in on the morning shows all while their brainwashed audiences were free from being exposed to his message. I personally believe they even tried to set Trump up when they would give Biden the final word on something, and Biden used it to lie about Trump. They would leave Trump's mic muted and either go on to the next question or go to break. Trump didn't take the bait.

He also did a couple small but key things. There were two instances where Dana Bash tried to get him in a gotcha quote they could use as a soundbite against him.

First was "Blah blah blah, Roe v Wade, long intro to get to point, Mr. former President, if elected, will you veto the morning after pill?"

Now she was hoping to say yes, and the Dems could play that clip over and over. Instead Trump was like "No, I think the pill is a great idea."

She tried it again asking over and over if he would accept the election results. He did go on a bit too long, but he essentially said "Sure", which was not what she was hoping for.

Oh, I never said it was possible. But what they'll really want to do is set up a new narrative. CNN blatantly rigged the debate for Biden -- absurd restrictions, no audience... and they let it slip during their freakout post-debate that they gave him the fucking questions to prep on AND he was allowed to bring written prepared notes with him. (This bit them in the ass as Trump just slid him ever so slightly off topic. Brilliant play by Trump and his team.) ABC will be even more blatant about rigging it. Hell, I expect an earpiece or Kamala to be up on stage with him.

Theory I heard is that the drugs aren't working, and that the late time of the debate caused Biden to sundown. So expect the new debate to be earlier in the day, he'll be wired out of his fucking skull on the CIA's private meth stash, and Trump will be kept in a soundproof cage and required to answer all questions in Toki Pona while maintaining iambic pentameter.

There's always a chance they'll catch him in a lucid time and he'll be.... well, better than the utter trainwreck he was last debate. Best case is probably how he was in the ABC interview, where he was mostly coherent but looked old as fuck, tired, and was a defiant, reality-denying asshole (which is his MO since forever). "Old Man Yells At Clouds" is the 'good' version of Biden now, but it's repellant and will never make up ground.

If he does another debate, the best they can hope for is smaller gaffes and less abyss gazing. However, no one is going to forget that awful death mask look on his face and his retard babbling following by exclaiming that he "Beat Medicare". That's his "Basket of Deplorables" or "Corporations are People My Friend" line that will never go away. When the CNN debate 5 months away from the election had 50 million viewers? Fat fucking chance. The ad prices from that debate a month before the election around primetime would be staggering when ABC could easily point at that.

Big brained theory I thought of while glancing at my Hedy Lamarr poster: when Biden dies, that would be the literal death of the Democratic Party as we know today. Nobody else now is marketable for a presidency. All cards were played to fortify Biden as a successor to Trump, and they fumbled the bag every possible way.

If the DNC doesn't regroup/reform after 2025, they'll be reduced to that party that acts against the American people.

Trump just has to say that he's against elder abuse and doesn't want to put Biden through a stressful ordeal like that again.

He bypassed Biden getting the last word by using the time of his next question to refute the previous lie, then would get extra time to answer the question asked. He probably won't get this luxury if there's a second debate, as the moderators will be primed to interrupt him the second he isn't directly answering the question they just asked.

The reason CNN gave Trump all that extra time was because it meant less time for Biden to talk, and that was clearly a necessity. If Trump does a second debate, they'll likely still try to keep him talking as much as possible, just to protect Biden from himself.

That could never work here for more than a few election cycles because the legislature isn't Parliamentary and consequently multiple squabbling minority parties don't realistically have a way to stick their thumbs on the scale via coalition governments.
It's one of the few spaces where our system being one of the first Democracies works to its benefit because it prevents a shouty ethnic/political minority group from demanding they disproportionately get their gibs if the biggest of the top 2 parties has to deal with them to actually keep the lights on.

I remember Null having like 3 political takes that were awful. The first was him being a 2008 era liberal with his two parties takes, the second was thinking that parliamentary systems are not the gayest fucking thing to exist, and the third is thinking Obama got corrupted or some shit.
