6. Not long after this, it would come out that Dan was an active member of Crash Override Network, Zoe Quinn's dubious non-profit, in which it would turn out he was instrumental to the defunding campaign against 8chan - using a honeypot to set up CP for Dan to "find" and report. The person who set this up, purportedly, was Laurelai Bailey. He would then chase this by being part of the team that attempted to run interference on behalf of fellow CON member Sarah Nyberg, after Nyberg had been outed as a pedophile who had already had encounters with law enforcement.
7. Mike Michaud would eventually fire Olson over his inability to create actual content. During Change the Channel, Ellis would claim that Michaud fired him just to be mean, not caring how important the work he was doing was, when in reality, Ellis' team and fanbase were a toxic fucking overspill that tore a giant rift down the center of the website, demanding conformity with their political aims. Todd and Kyle in particular were the worst offenders. In reality, Olson knew he was going to be canned as early as December of that year, due to how many people pointing out his sting operation had uploaded CP.
For @Ninon42
Also, if @PeriodicTrouble has any links to offer, it'd be much appreciated
To add onto this:

In 2012, Lindsay would start her own website called Chez Apocalypse. A BreadTube before BreadTube, it featured the content creators of TGWTG that considered themselves providing more....intellectual analysis in their videos. Among the people that fetured on this were Kyle Kallgren of "Brows Held High", Todd In The Shadows, a music reviewer, and Elisa Hansen of "Maven Of The Eventide", who has videos regarding media about vampires. In terms of notable things during this time, she and her friends Elisa and Nella would make a 50 Shades of Grey parody and make videos about their progress. The site ran on Blip, and once Blip died, so did Chez Apocalypse.

Around the time that Dan was fired from CA, Lindsay would also leave the site, along with Kyle Kallgren. She announced her departure in a blog post, but during #ChangeTheChannel, she revealed that she ad Kyle Kallgren would leave in protest of Dan being shown the metaphorical door for his 8chan reporting. Lindsay would also contribute to the "Not So Awesome" Document, where she would show that she has no idea about the concept of "being the company you keep" Apparently, despite being the one to vouch for Olson when he joined CA, appearing shocked that CA CEO Mike Michaud would call her to ask WTF is going on when Dan found himself in controversy. Overall, Lindsay believes Dan did nothing wrong and was fired for his work in investigative journalism.

Lindsay's contribution to #CTC would mostly be in the form of talking about the anniversary specials. Namely, that she found the sets unprofessional, to the point where she claims Doug had to be TOLD that water was a thing that had to be provided on set (with her bringing this up, only to be ignored and only listened to once Spoony backed her up), the advice of many people that had either gone to film school or had previous work on film sets were completely ignored, and most notably, she was very uncomfortable about her role in To Boldly Flee, particularly her costume as the Star Trek character Seven of Nine, and a scene where she'd be transformed into a minion of Mechakara that she described as basically being a prolonged rape joke. (I promise it makes sense in context. Or if you have a decent amount of knowledge of the people who were on this website like me).

Now no longer a part of Channel Awesome, Lindsay would go onto YouTube and establish herself as a video essayist. Along the way, she'd make two series: "The Whole Plate", which served to explain multiple aspects of filmmaking and academic points through the lens of the Michael Bay Tranformers films, and Loose Canon, where she looks at incarnations of various characters and how they're shown in pop culture. Lindsay would also reunite with Dan Olson to make a video about whether or not you should go to film school, which featured what many believe to be a IYKYK shot at Channel Awesome, and their anniversary specials. However, video essays would be her bread and butter, and she would do everything to distance herself from her time as the Nostalgia Chick, such as disavowing takes she had while on TGWTG, doing new videos on films she reviewed while as the Nostalgia Chick, talking about how she was miserable the entire time she was on the site and just phoning it in because she needed the ad revenue at the time, or posting her Nostalgia Chick videos on another channel (and then making those videos unlisted after her fans mentioned the algorithm recommending those videos).

In 2021, Lindsay found herself in her biggest controversy since leaving Channel Awesome In which she compared the then recently released Disney Film "Raya and The Last Dragon" to the Nickelodeon show "Avatar: The Last Airbender". All Hell would break loose as many felt that Lindsay was saying that all films inspired by Asian culture were the same, most never bothering to see if Lindsay's comments had any merit, instead, Raya would be mostly forgotten, and Lindsay would begin a long process where she'd step away from the Internet. But first, Lindsay would make a video called "Mask Off", where she took accountability and talked about other things to defend her point. Sadly, it didn't go well for her as the reception wasn't as positive as she hoped, she'd later say that she should have just apologized and not made the video, and the video is now unlisted.

More recently, Lindsay has become a published author.

Lindsay is the author of the Noumena series, which started with the release of Axiom's End in 2020. The series is a first contact with aliens saga taking place in the mid-late 2000s, and two sequels have been published as of me typing this: Truth of the Divine in 2022, and Apostles of Mercy in 2024. According to @Boston Brand, who works in publishing, the sales numbers are abysmal. And to many, the books are widely considered to be shit, and the publisher only signed Lindsay on in hopes that her YouTube subscribers and Twitter following would translate into book sales.

On a brighter note, Lindsay got married in 2019 and is the mother of two children, born in 2022 and 2024.

Today, Lindsay is only posting on Nebula, where all her videos are behind a paywall, with many believing that Lindsay has retreated to a hug box after the woke monster turned against her. Her most recent video is an essay about Yoko Ono, and how she shouldn't be vilified as the force responsible for The Beatles breaking up. The description of said video has a link to her Nebula, as she says that Nebula has the video without the several edits needed to make the video not get age-restricted.

Also, in case you're wondering about why there's so many booze jokes and why Lindsay gets called an alcoholic, she got arrested for public intoxication. Her mugshot from said arrest Along with the police report is out there. That, and in a good amount of her videos, she's either drinking or has a bottle of hooch nearby.

I'd post the link to the video where Hagan and Jackula discussed it, but it no longer fucking exists because it's been sperged off the internet.

Is this the video you're talking about?

That's the one, good find.

It's long, and mostly pretty boring, but the description of what Chez Apocalypse did during GG is pretty on-the-ball. IIRC Jackula wanted to keep lines of discussion open on it since no one on TGWTG had a dog in that fight, but Kyle and Todd wouldn't back off, since they considered political neutrality akin to siding with THE ENEMY.

Ethan Ralph OP
Any brave souls looking to speedrun the KF>troon out>41% category?
Oh god, I don't know how much Ethan Ralph content I can take. However, I'll add it to the list.
I hope it's ok to link OPs that are in dire need of a rewrite here.
It's more than OK. I don't know every single thread that needs to be rewritten. I check this thread pretty often to see what threads need work.

I would love to help in this.
Included.

Wings is (mostly) done.

Just so you know, I already did a write up on this situation in my Dan Olson OP: https://kiwifarms.st/threads/op-rewrite-dan-olson-folding-ideas.197215/

Big shoutout to your lolcow.wiki article on him btw

Alas I am a busy boy and cannot contribute the autism required to one of these projects, but I'd like to suggest adding the Contrapoints thread to the list

Huge breadtuber, tranny, will undoubtable be ousted for a consent accident or other similarly distasteful acts one day. And yet the OP is one of the worst I've seen in an official lolcow thread. They didn't archive some old videos or clips that were privated, so that's a big project in of itself
