Basically this. The only fandoms that are safe these days are generally those for stuff that's old or stuff that's new but that wouldn't be popular with Tumblr.

Even I would hesitate about old stuff, you never know when a "tumblr" fandom might suddenly pop up for one reason or another (it was popular/iconic back in the day, it gets a reboot...).

Not even those. OFF's fandom is largely dead, but there's still regular amounts of brown, obese, vitiligo'd Zacharie and Sugar.
Oddly enough, though, they never go the route of having Zacharie disfigured. You'd think that'd play into SJW tendencies.

Hell even stuff that wouldn't be popular with Tumblr doesn't work. Osomatsu-san is the prime example of that.
(Granted Osomatsu-san IS a reboot but I don't think Tumblr knows that)

Did some digging and it turns out that other person's toe was medically amputated for an unrelated problem and they offered the scraps to this... "cummy-eyelids" person who's re-purposing it into art by turning it into a necklace. It's weird at first glance, yeah, but it's really just some edgy art hoe stuff. Still gross though.
