Remember to look and listen. Is the witness hesitantly answering? Who glances at who and so forth. Remember, a transcript is public, so if you can latch your note to a particular question, you don't have to get every word. Accuracy, not precision.

I think a good way to think about it is that it is not about writing down every word verbatim. The transcript will have that.
But write down enough of what is said so you can correlate to the transcript later and add flavor.
This could be like adding flavor to the transcript "at this point/this question Nick hesitated" and "at this other question he got angry and almost screamed at the judge".

.

KADN just published a story including a statement by Null. It’s full of gems, including “live-in nanny,” April Imholte (now Anderson).

I think this is the first time I've ever seen the Farms get fair, neutral coverage from any mainstream news outlet, even if it is just a local Fox affiliate.

I bet they're going to get flooded with emails from angry trannies demanding a retraction.

Exactly. I'll admit I'm going to be giving the toxicology evidence my undivided attention. How hard he hammers that is going to be interesting. I'd say amusing, but this is a kid so the humor escapes me. I'm hoping Crackets paid for Cochran antics.

I'm kinda sad I don't live anywhere close by, because I'm really good at note-taking.

But I did a little searching for articles about note-taking tips, and this one is closest to the techniques that I personally use. Though, I wouldn't use every single abbreviation or symbol they list, just the ones that I know I'd be able to interpret later.

Quoting bits I find most helpful with best ones bolded:
Common note-taking symbols
  • & or + and, plus, with (the ampersand symbol can be difficult to draw freehand so many people use a squiggle to represent ‘and’)
  • – minus, without
  • = equals, is the same as, results in
  • ≠ does not equal, is not the same as, does not result in
  • ≈ is approximately equal to, is similar to
  • < is less than, is smaller than
  • > is greater than, is larger than
  • ↑ increase, rise, growth
  • ↑↑ rapid increase
  • ↓ decrease, fall, shrinkage
  • ↓↓ rapid decrease
  • ⇒ or ∴ therefore, thus
  • → leads on to, produces, causes
  • x no, not, incorrect
  • xx definitely not, disproved
  • ? uncertain, possibly, unproven
  • ✓ yes, correct
  • ✓✓ definitely, certain, proven
  • # number
  • special, important, notable (when added to a word or phrase)
  • / per – for example, £50/day instead of ‘fifty pounds per day’

Common general abbreviations
  • c. approximately, roughly, about (abbreviation for the Latin ‘circa’)
  • e.g. for example
  • i.e. in other words (usually used when adding more detail or an explanation)
  • cf. compared to, by comparison with
  • w/ with
  • w/o without
  • v. very
  • vv. extremely
  • C century (e.g. C19 for ‘nineteenth century’)
  • etc. and so on
  • K or k a thousand (e.g. 500K for ‘five hundred thousand’)
  • m a million (e.g. $6m for ‘six million dollars’)
  • vs. against
Use the first few letters of the word
Use just enough to remember what the abbreviation stands for. Ensure that there are enough letters to prevent confusion between other words with the same first letters.

For example:
  • imp for ‘important’
  • info for ‘information’
  • eval for ‘evaluation’
  • dev for 'development'
  • gov for 'government'

A lot of these probably seem really obvious, but it's hard to gauge what people will know what to do, especially people with little-to-no recent experience with quick note-taking. It definitely doesn't need to be complicated with weird symbols and whatnot. Knowing cursive, or at least heavily incorporating cursive into your handwriting (this is how I write), is a must. Smooth-writing gel pens are very helpful - bring backups! You don't want to be distracted, scribbling around, trying to get your pen to work again. I also liked the advice of starting a new page for each new "segment" or eventful part of the hearing, and using downtime to go over your notes and summarizing them to yourself.

No, it’s a forced meme from Juju that Null needs to do a pull up. Nick and Juju are trying to make Null do something because they are impotent Lolcows who cannot understand that the reason they are lolcows is because they can be bullied into doing things like tweeting at 0 follower accounts or wearing a Sonichu medallion.
Dax:"Do a pushup."

Null:"No. Wear the sonichu medallion. "

Dax:"Ok, but you're the real lolcow here"

All these recommendations on how to behave/act in court, not one recommendation on where to eat within walking distance of the courthouse's lunch hour with good food/minimal lines. Y'all ain't ever even sit in on nigger sentencing.

What's the parking situation? What's the vending machine situation? These are the real questions we need answered.

Can’t believe I have the humble privilege of watching history happen. Buzzing for the Netflix series lads, will be bigger than Baby Reindeer!

If any of our court reporters get close enough to catch a sniff, I’d love an olfactory report!

Does Nick have that classic boozer odor of sweat, booze and piss?

Does Kayla smell like despair, disappointment and Chanel No. 5?

Can you faintly smell paint and semen in the air for few seconds, as April passes by in the hallway?

These are the kinds of observations I’m looking forward to, that you can’t get from the official transcript, so please fellow Kiwis! Whiff! Deeply!

Well, one of the kids tested positive, right? If Nick tries to claim they tampered with evidence or something, I can think of reasons they would put one of the children on the stand.
You'd better not be pretending to be retarded again.
if it's worth the considerable amount of money it would take to get it a few days sooner.
Of course it's worth it so long as the person potentially waiting several days is me and the person paying the considerable sum is not me.

The State filed a statement that it is 'unlikely' that minors will be testifying in this case. This is a killshot to his muh keedz argument. He's just using them as a human shield to avoid any accountability.
Get fucked Nick, you child neglecting addict. Your kids are traumatized for life and are socially dysfunctional.
Nick belongs in prison. He made socially retarded kids and potential future criminals.

Those in Balldo discord what's the current flavor of cope? I'm genuinely interested

Please Ralph show up, we need someone bring a tape measure and measure him
His height or his dick?

I only ask because he's convinced his dick is huge (people who have seen the sex tape beg to differ) and he thinks it's probably bigger than Metokur's. He's been daring Metokur to agree to go to a doctor's office and have their sizes compared.

(EDIT: Somebody told me I might be misremembering the story slightly, and the other party is Null, but that doesn't make the story any less stupid).

I wonder if Ethan Ralph will lose another Purse if he goes to harass people in Minnesota
I wonder if he'll get the shit beaten out of him again.

(That's not a recommendation to do it, BTW. I doubt very much he'll even show.)
