Transformers general thread - Toy Robot men based on giant robots based on previously mentioned toys about said robots

On amazon it's said all of the yolopark kits are in stock already for a few weeks but take a few days to ship. Weird how I haven't seen any reviews on them yet.

I like how the megatron kits seem to be based on the marvel comics megatron colors.

Never saw this kit figure before, but now I must go order it.

What it doesn't have from what I remember is an enemy base that you go through only for it to turn into a [......]

The Honkai Star Rail phone game actually has a boss battle that's an obvious homage to this boss battle. (There's actually a lot of Transformers references in Honkai Star Rail. Like a character based on Shockwave).

Outside the main…… six? I wanna say, the concept falls apart because, like most fictional pantheons go, they don’t develop everyone.

Prima, Solus, Megatronus, Onyx, Liege and Alpha Trion are the only ones who matter and two of them actually contributed to the “mythos” before the Covenant.

I’d like to see the Covenant redone/reworked, but more generalized, remove the Aligned junk and play up the “myth” arc.

This might be a Tumblr urban legend, but in the Aligned continuity, wasn't the 13 (well, 12 since the whole Optimus thing..) Primes supposed to serve as the ancestors of the main Transformers? Like, Starscream/Seekers being descended from Liege (supposedly this was referenced somewhere in official materials?) Megatron being descended from Megatronus, etc.

Like, for the most part, they weren't meant to be fleshed out characters, as much as the backstory filler/the explanation for maguffins.

I have to say that I prefer Liege Maximo in G2 than in IDW, but at the time they brought in Liege Maximo IDW gave up on writing good stories and just made political slop. I also like how he decided he wasn't going to be a whore and make millions like him.
I would like to see a new Nexus Prime using new minicon combiners similar to the old Japanese ones just with more articulation. Just make molds that can be used for other things like two cars, two planes, and 2 boxy vehicles. You can then turn one of those into Micronus Prime.
megatron took up the name of megatronus to instill fear in his enemies, that's why he can exist next to him in both the dreamwave comics and the machinema show.

kinda odd how beastmegatron does the same thing down the line.
In G2 Megatron was the offspring of Liege Maximo as were all Decepticons

I could be misremembering this but I'm prtty sure the megatron taking on his name was something that got added to the lore after beast wars megatron did it already which makes shit even weirder but is kinda cool as an adopted namesake lineage thing.

Specifically the g2 marvel comics which were the continuation of the g1 marvel comics. I mean that's pretty much ALL the g2 media there is really unless you count the reruns of g1 with the cgi filter transitions added.

G2 Liege’s plan was awesome, it’s told in the “Alignment” prose that’s technically not canon cause it was a thing written by Furman for a con.

He was intended to be TF Darkseid, the Hub Network, his empire and his “Decepticons” was all a part of a plot to ascend to a “capital G” God

Liege is never gonna be the giant Cthulhu monster again, which is a shame, they can keep the Lokibot form but just take from Sauron and gave that be his “fair form”

I've been playing around with the idea of designing a non transforming Liege Maximo titan class figure to go along with the G2 Decepticons we got one day. I have a few of the G2 Universe Cybertronian Trooper figures, lots of Jhiaxus figures I turned into more trooper figures as that figure is dirt cheap, and some Earthrise Megatron molds I'm turning into the tank troopers.

I know his name was inspired by Megatronus; it's just I'm pretty sure Megatron was also a descendant of him as well in Aligned Continuity. I believe it was a plot point in the 2015 Robots in Disguise cartoon (sorry to bring it up. I know it fucking sucked and is considered discontinuity by everyone here; however technically speaking, it was part of Aligned continuity).

On the topic of the New Gods; scrawny cowardly hunched over sycophant Starscream in TFP always gave me serious DeSaad-vibes.

I’ve been trying to score a busted fixer-upper Armada Unicron for that express purpose. Great minds think alike.

Alignment really could’ve been something had it been a proper comic. The Dinobots and their last stand against the Hub’s defences with Swoop becoming The Veteran, Megatron being the one to make the sacrifice and the tired Autobots and Decepticons finally laying down their weapons.

Liege is the first of a character concept that Furman wanted to pull off, continued with the Fallen, Nova Prime and the Dark Matrix (the Dark Matrix in Regeneration One even resembles Liege) and I really wish he was just allowed to cook, I’m curious what the Thirteen would be like if he wrote the Covenant.

I thought the same, fitting considering that Megatron did try to turn Cybertron into Apokolips.

I have been a fan of Transformers since I was a wee little Dagda, and even I admit this series has fallen from grace ever since the tail end of IDW all the way till now with the pro-idpol EarthSpark series, but I will give you some knowledge....This guy, Buzzsaw from Beast Machines (who I have and is also a maximal for some reason)

I noticed he was the design inspiration for one of the demon designs in Persona 2, the Byakhee.

That wasp-shaped head and the colors perfectly match each other, and if I remember correctly, it can learn Fire magic because of that flame-haped tail as inspiration. I like the toy designs of Beast Machines, at least the ones that didn't try to be apart of the show.

Tempted to preorder this since I already have the starscream homage one of these 4 inch scale anime style figures Iron factory's finally started putting out after vaguely hinting at them for years. The expressions aren't as "in-character "as the starscream one and the faces are kind of weird unless you make the connection it's a fucking pikachu reference because thunder/lightning.

In a way it's like fucking sonichu with extra steps despite the cat theming. Kinda wonder if these are gonna come with alternate head vents actually shaped like seeker shoulders like the first one so theycan match or not. That'd ironically make it even more sonichu-esque, actually.

As fucking stupid and autistic as this thing looks compared to the starscream homage I kinda fucking want it for the sheer fucking insanity it exists and the fact it's still cool otherwise. I want to see more "technically not transformers but original the characters with elements of transformers in 1:18 scale" going around in general. Fuck make like some TF2 engineer ass looking wheeljack homage or some shit that'd work to a degree probably.

Straxus and cobra commander are dangling in places I cannot see in terms of shipment/charge date so I'm holding off on shit above $40 with shipping a little bit more than usual.

It's really cool how the more weirder transformers over the years have kinda just inspired or been slipped into other media. You can tell in some cases it was probably one someone involved in the art team really liked the look of usually.
Honestly I miss when they'd just throw new characters out that weren't based on fucking anything that actually showed up in any show. I mean we got weird third party shit for that now but it's not really the same and that doesn't happen as much anymore.

I likely wont make him transform since it would take me years to understand such engineering and would be too expensive printing off the failed attempts so I was just going to make him a non-transforming figure. Throne can just be shaved/sculpted foam. If I knew how to make a transforming figure he'd likely turn into the Twilight and use the scorpion pincer thing it had on top as the horns on Liege Maximo.

Fans Hobby Wing Saber is looking pretty good. Nice to see someone focusing on Unicron Trilogy and some Headmasters. I hope they try their hand at a combiner soon from Victory. Though a Dinoking with the Dinos could be quite expensive even if you go for vinyl like the last attempt.

So i got my order today of the Transformers G1 manga(s), the covers are hard, won't tear easily and the art is mesmerizing, the pages are equally as great and i like how they feel smooth. Overall the books are a spectacular product and i hope one of these days the Beast Wars mangas will recieve a official english translation too. I'm aware people usually tend to not like the Japanese iteration of Transformers, but i'd say it's much better than most of the shit that gets released these days (Modern day IDW sucks and Earthspark is just horrible, but i do look forward to the future games and the potential relistings of the old activision games)

It's nuts that grown ass niggers are still into trannyformers. all i remember is watching the movies and playing the war of cybertroon game. fun game btw 10/10. you niggers should grow out of soy though.
Do soykeks have any hobbies aside from relating everything to trannies, raiding literal whos, and sucking FrQQt's tiny orange juicer?

I thought the stories were very light and done in a flash, though the Zone story and the underground Autobot base were really cool. The Marvel comics are the best Transformers comics, but the best Transformers shows are the anime, especially RID2001 and Victory. I also like how flashy and downright different the Japanese designs can get.

Dreamwave stuff I found was better than IDW's work, even the stuff they (IDW) did in the beginning. Skybound Entertainment is so far killing it with the Void Rivals and Transformers stuff though I didn't have much faith going in because I thought it was just going to be more IDW inspired slop. Not a fan of how durable the Cybertronians are, reminds me too much of Beyformers but that's a minor nitpick. I hope the next IP they work on is MASK. I'm sure it will be very similar to the MASK from the 80's instead of the garbage IDW did. I'm glad IDW is about to die. They last six years longer than they should when it was found in 2018 that the company was always in the read and needing funds from the parent company to stay alive. Leasing so many IP's you hate or don't understand so you can ruin them wont keep your company alive.

I like Void Rivals, but the Transformers stuff is too dark and edgy. I was going to read IDW's MASK comics because they have some really cool vehicles -- what was wrong with it?

I wasn't a fan of how it started with them taking apart Blitzwing to learn about transformation, plus typical IDW writing. Usually it's poor Skywarp getting screwed over and basically turned into a space bridge or a messed up computer

I always gut the transformation when I do a custom, why bother? You won’t transform it and if so it’ll destroy the paint job. In the case of something like G2 Liege it compromises an insane design that didn’t transform.

I mean, I get why the Primes shouldn’t have alt-modes, what use is turning into a car when you’re a star-god who can teleport or in Vector’s case, travel time and space with a thought.

IDW had this fetish for body-horror and I hate it, I’m not against TF body horror but Blitzwing didn’t deserve that to setup a worthless comic nobody read.

You can avoid painting depending on the 3d printing material used just avoid resin because that wont hold up over time with weight or transformations like other plastics.

They started doing that shit with Sunstreaker when he became a headmaster which would lead to Scorponok doing the whole child thing in his chest that got obliterated.
