The public twitter call was pretty telling. They couldn't really answer how this was not going to fail like most forks, and the lead developer was just a "casual" user who had used the engine a bit in the past and played around with its source. You need hardcore people with these things, but try finding even one that isn't a complete retard in every way that isn't just writing code.

Wow, big surprise, who could known that people being more concerned with the act of forking and setting up a community would fail at maintaining a fucking difficult software project. Nothing of value was lost. But I honestly think a real fork of Godot may happen now. There are a lot of feature complete PRs Godot faggots don't merge for personal reasons, that a fork may all incorporate, the real developers just have to find each other and ditch community discords and community managers.

an entry to your PERVERTS.txt file with the name, crime, sentence and link, for a tranny that has been convicted of a sex-crime or raping a child.

You want to become part of the community? Easy, just add one more entry to PERVERTS.txt.
It will guarantee that no genderspecial will ever join your project (outside of being listed in PERVERTS.txt that is)..

But seriously, at this point, I think the best way to fork is just to do it yourself, very casually.
Don't announce it as a demonstration or with any big agenda -- this is just your little project now, with your preferences.
Invite a couple of your homies who have the same ideas about tech and software as you, and maybe others show interest if what you are doing is good and word gets around.
One of the most critical pieces of open source development software I use daily is maintained by just a handful of people, who push out multiple releases every year, and they have been very responsive to technical feedback.

No one with a serious interest in making a game engine is going to fork Godot. They're going to make their own game engine, from scratch. Blue skies get dicks hard, Going sloppy seconds on some engine covered in someone else's code smell is digital cuckoldry. It's as shrimple as that.
