Everyone's favorite comic artist, Pizzacakes, has officially reached lolcow status and is having a melty on reddit, threatening legal action against anyone sharing or editing her shitty comics. Specifically, she's mad at /r/BoneHurtingJuice. BHJ put out a statement, and Pizzacakes replied and is getting massacred in the comment section. I have to get back to work so I don't have time to share screen shots, but I'll share some when I get back if no one else has.

I honestly don't get Pizzacake and her followers. Her comics are just plainly not funny. She occasionally makes some that can be pretty relatable, like this one, but whether they can be considered good or not is left to debate. They're practically tweets in comic form, and from an unfunny person, at that. Some says she's being disliked because her works can be "misandrist", but sorry, she's just plainly dry and boring. Her "misandrist" works aren't even that "offensive" enough to warrant her being hated so much.

I usually just set it aside in a corner of my mind because I don't really give a crap about web comics, but this is just plain pettiness and nothing more. It's as if I'm looking at a tranny's meltdown over a really reasonable thing and calling it trans genocide. Or lolcows complaining that their personal stuffs can be found here, even though they themselves post these in public. I get it if this is about patreon stuffs, or that BHJ is taking profit from all of this, but no, she's simply being unreasonable. Kek.

They wouldn't be. BHJ is a subreddit about editing comics to change the caption to something else. Saying that they're stealing profit from her Patreon is on the same anti-piracy argument of "you're taking profit from the movie when you pirate a movie", if not worse, because they're edits. It wouldn't be the same audience to begin with (also probably falls under fair use etc, she wouldn't get anywhere with threatening legal action).

There was some anime comic someone else posted earlier, and now this one, where the artists drew nude women without nipples. I find this minor detail deeply disturbing; it gives me legit Buffalo Bill vibes. Especially this one, which seems to have surgical themes on an naive, passive, naked robot girl. The other anime one also had some weird naive subservient girl which was magically created by a second girl in the comic, who was the artist's own stand-in character. Both have themes of power over essentially naive, malleable sex slaves. Creepy shit.

It cannot be a choice to avoid internet censors, I mean, the internet is full of the most explicit, degenerate furfag/hentai/inflation/troon/etc shit imaginable. Instead, this comes off as some kind of repressed kink, like the artists themselves are incapable of directly expressing or confronting it.

It reminds me of serial killers like John Wayne Gacy, or Ted Bundy. Neither of them ever acknowledged that they murdered people or had degenerate sexual kinks. Incapable of confronting it.

I would like to believe that I am overthinking this, but my gut instinct tells me that there is more going on here outside the comics with the creators themselves.

I bet the FBI glowies assigned to monitor these people drink a lot.

Depends on the vintage.
It is very common for Japanese comics to have girls (and guys for that matter) with no drawn nipples to avoid japanese censors or allegations of being porn. So my guess if it was an anime comic they were just aping Jap comics.
Also anime spergs have some serious opinions about nipples and it can turn fan comments into huge slapfight about areolas and nipple size, puffy or not, so not drawing nipples you avoid that to the point some of the japanese Totally-not-porn-because-all-penis-are-white-glowing-mushrooms explicitly said the decision to not include nipples was a personal choice not an editorial directive.

In the modern days of AI art flagging, given the prevalence of skin-tight spandex body suits in both western and eastern comics, no nipples may let your comic slide through the AI censors.

I'd like to point out what I said back in 2023 when people brought up Pizzacakes getting her own thread:

She has potential to be a lolcow. While I can tell she goes after trolls because it's easier than coming up with her own original content, you can also tell it really bothers her that so many people shit on her comic. That's why she makes comics complaining about complainers, because she needs validation from others to assure her that she's not the problem, and that her artwork is good and her jokes are TOTALLY FUNNY. Deep down she has to know her art is meh and her jokes are lame or don't make any sense. This comic right here is a prime example, I get what she was going for but the "joke" doesn't make any sense, so it's just another unfunny comic.

I've always waffled on if she was a true lolcow or not, I believe threatening legal action over people making edits of your comics is very lolcow behavior.

I don't know how to feel about this comic, I can't say I really like or dislike it too strongly, I mostly just check in on it because the environment art style is pretty nice, and on principle I try to keep tabs on any webcomic that doesn't physically hurt to read or spiral too far into the deep end.
The angel and devil girl are the only characters that are KINDA engaging, but they don't really do much, and a lot of their interactions come off as pretty samey. The hints about the halo head itself and Chloe's creation of it having darker origins are vaguely interesting, but not really something I'd sift through the rest of the pages to see.

Chloe and Clair actually did have a moment recently where, for a brief instant, they were open and sharing their frustrations. Then, just like that, it was past.
