In short, things COULD get more expensive (not always, and not for everything), but the moment that industry moves back into the U.S. things either even out, or in fact get cheaper due to logistics costs being considerably less.

What's to stop other countries from capitalizing on cheap foreign labor and out-competing American products on the global market by price? What good would tarrifs do in that instance? A lot of money is made abroad.
