Xbox Game Studios Stupidity Hate Thread Game Pass Edition

Or just bu
None. If the Xbox is nothing more than another Game Pass machine you might as well purchase a PS5 with a Bluray drive and a bunch of exclusive games.
Or just build a computer that can do all those things and more. Didn't Xbox say that a computer is an Xbox too? But a PlayStation is a PlayStation and a Switch is a (Nintendo) Switch.

Xbox Game Pass is SCREWED...

Dreamcast Guy is an unapologetic Playstation simp. Of course he's going to shit talk Game Pass. Reminder: This guy got his girlfriend to buy his Playstation 5 (She doesn't even play video games) for $500 just so he could buy a PS5 Pro. What a faggot.

Also, the Series S isn't the problem holding Microsoft back. It's the developers that largely don't know what the fuck they're doing. None of these recent games have been optimized properly, and the developers that you think would have good track record for optimizing their shit for Xbox and PC don't. Focusing on DEI policies and practices instead of actually hiring people who (again) know what the fuck they're doing in programming would help a lot more than blaming one little console. This shit is industry wide, and it largely explains why we've gotten so many games that failed. It's DEI and corporate bullshit that's holding a lot of the modern gaming industry back.

After the shitshow of a story Wolfenstein 2 had with the afro girlboss and the emasculation and total destruction of BJ, who would ever want to buy a game from Machinegames again?

Upon writing this I forgot about Youngblood; a memory best left forgotten. The writing has been on the wall about how they went woke years ago, before the massive mainstream effort to destroy existing IP by injecting DEI shit into it.

The Indy trailers shown in conferences have all been pretty bad, just a bunch of quick cuts with no substance. The only time they've shown uncut sequences of the game was to show a long ass cutscene with no gameplay.
l can tell the game is somewhat like a first person Uncharted with a more stealthy approach to combat, but I still don't have an idea of how the game will actually play.
Is it an "immersive sim" or a more linear stealth game? Does it have deep shooting mechanics or more surface level ones? How the fuck does the melee combat works? How is the progression? Gameplay loop? Etc.
No showcase has actually given any answer to those questions. And while there may be some interview, or youtube video that answers some of them, I feel most people will judge the game by their first impressions, and will only bother to look deep into it if they are interested in what they've seen.

Not only that, but modern gaming consumers have completely lost trust in big IPs gaming adaptations, the IP alone isn't enough to bring in players.
I don't find it surprising that there is no hype for it.

They did put out a gameplay deep dive video this week:
The field of view seems really narrow when the camera is in first person mode, like maybe this game was originally made for virtual reality. Hopefully there is a setting for a wider FOV.
It looks like there is a lot more emphasis on stealth and melee combat over shooting. The game probably discourages you from using guns most of the time.
They claim there are multiple paths to get through levels according to your preferred playstyle or what abilities you level up. I suspect this game will be a lot more linear than how they are portraying it in the video.

They spend half a billion dollars making those slops and the animation you get is shit straight out of Jurassic Park Trespasser.

4:41 Look how he throws the torch and the statue. It's fucking hilarious.

MachineGames should just fulltime do expansion missions for the Nightdive Quake remasters like the two they already did. They can't be trusted with anything with a narrative anymore

Yes and No. Yes it's microsoft's problem for making it a '4k' machine and not forcing it to be a 1080p@30/60fps machine and locking it at that. It's the devs fault for being retards and trying to make the games run well on any other resolution.

TL;DR - Microsoft should have tard-wrangled the tard-devs.
maybe this game was originally made for virtual reality.
It was originally a multiplatform game for PS5, along with Avowed. The chances of this game originally being VR and Microsoft buying it to stop Sony's advancement into a market that Sony would have owned by default, is pretty high.

My god, I didn't realise the Indy game was being made by these guys! They had a solid hit with the Wolfenstein remake remake. Outstanding gameplay, decent story, and it's like they made a solid effort to destroy that franchise totally and utterly. Sad.

TOB and TNC are some of my favourite shooters. I'll remember then as you'd remember a tranny before their coom-brained mind took over their identity.

If they would've sold the idea that the Series S is the cheaper more "standard" Xbox as a 1080p machine, I don't think they would've had the backlash towards it like they've gotten. The problem isn't just the developers who went along with Microsoft's messaging. It's a lot of Microsoft's upper management not knowing how the fuck to market their products correctly. Again. It's DEI hires that have only been in the business for at least a year or two right after college. Most of these kids don't give a shit about gaming, or largely know how the fuck a lot of these machines work.

This is not a good sign for Indiana Jones and the Great Circle.

I am going to try it, the thief immersive sim elements makes me think it will at least be an interesting game as a fan of the genre and the indiana jones movies. but the ai seeming more braindead than xbox's game acquisitions, the shuffling to game pass to make it affordable to just rent this game like a blockbuster vhs, the PS5 port screaming of them bleeding money, and the general lack of advertising makes me wonder if Microsoft is just sending this game out to die. if they are, why exactly?
It cant be worse than dial of destiny at the very least and again, at least its only 20 dollars to play once its on gamepass.

Last weekend I was browsing a local gaming subreddit to see if there were any worthwhile deals on hardware or games and one thread caught my attention, it's title was something like "If you stop paying for game pass and save up then in x time you can buy whatever game you want". Sure the concept of "stop paying for subscription services and you will save money" is nothing revolutionary if you use your head but when it is said by normies who for years wouldn't shut up about "just get a series S/PC and pay for game pass lol/" it is surprising

Bethesda just posted the PC specs for Indiana Jones and the Great Circle and... well...

...I don't know if it's poor optimization on Bethesda's part or Xbox Studios wanting people to buy a game console (preferably Xbox, we all know that they want that fee-free cash) but seeing them suggest a $2k-$3k graphics card for Ultra settings and full raytracing is just mind-boggling retarded.

Edit: Oh, and I forgot to mention that you got this game for free if you recently bought an NVIDIA RTX 4000 series graphics card too.
